desertcart.com: Into the Wild: Warriors, Book 1 (Audible Audio Edition): Erin Hunter, MacLeod Andrews, HarperCollins: Books Review: Review from my daughter SPOILER ALERT - Warriors: Into the Wild is one of the best books I've ever read in my life! It is action-packed, a little humorous, and there's a surprise at every corner. One of my friends introduced the book to me, and I'm glad she did for it's a real page-turner. At first, I was a little unsure if the book was suited to me because it seemed a little violent. But, I kept reading and I started to find that I love this book. I found some characters that I really related to. In fact, I love it so much that when I was on the first book my parents got me the next two books. I just started the second book and can't get my nose out of it. I love Warriors and I know a lot of other people who do too. ;) This story is about friendship, trust, and a little bit of war. It is also about trying new things, bravery, and not backing down. This story takes place in a damp, chilly woods that are not far from a person's house. In the beginning, a young a cat named Rusty is living with people at the edge of a forest. He meets a wild warrior cat named Graypaw. Graypaw convinces Rusty, now known as Firepaw, to join Thunderclan in a time of need. Then, Firepaw finds himself a full warrior and has lots of friends. Then, in a blink of an eye, Shadowclan is demanding Thunderclan territory! Firepaw and his Thunderclan friends are at war with Shadowclan. Though some die, Firepaw avenges them all. In the end, the leader of Shadowclan learns his lesson and dashes back into the forest. The main characters in Warriors: Into the Wild are: Firepaw - a young cat with a fiery spirit for adventure and is very trust worthy. Graypaw - Firepaw's best friend who is a curious cat and is also a warrior. Ravenpaw - also Firepaw's friend and warrior who is shy and frail but quick and powerful, though he had to run away. Spottedleaf - Firepaw's crush who is very beautiful and talented in nursing and taking care of kittens (a.k.a., kits). Bluestar - Thunderclan's leader who saw a warrior locked up in Firepaw's heart, yearning to be set free. Tigerclaw - a tough, serious, bold cat who loves to fight and has one emotion -- anger! Yellowfang - a black, shaggy cat who has attitude and was once in Shadowclan, but is now a Thunderclan medicine cat . Smudge - a black and white cat who grew up with Firepaw since they were kits but is not a warrior. I love this book, it inspired me in so many ways! I know a lot of my friends would love the action packed thrills of reading this book. I think that this book has perfect blend of these details: a pound of action, a dose of determination, seasoned with humor and you have the perfect recipe for a perfect book. Review: It is amazing 100/100 - It has so much data on what it looks, smells and feels like. Also the story is great and fun. Have fun reading!

Very good purchase
This was a very good edition of the book. The dust jacket is well made and the cover underneath it is stunning in person. The bonus chapter is also very good and made this very much worth the purchase.

A True Animal Lover Kid Classic
Just as the title says. This is a loved classic for any wolf, cat, horse kid -- whatever weird animal you ran around at recess at in elementary school. The underlying heavy themes of dictator uprising, discrimination, religion, and so on, are so beautifully put into a kid friendly (more or less) series. I've read this a good handful of times and it's heartwarming and heart heavy to read the introductions to these cats you end up learning so much about and watching them grow, pass away, and bond. Always a loved book, this first one.

Bought new, recieved damaged (twice!)
Excellent book, but I first ordered this as "new" and received one with a blatant tear on the binding (no fault of the packaging), got it exchanged thankfully but the second copy I received (also new) came with some more, albeit now, minor damage.

Collectible!
My sister loves the Warrior Cat book series and when I saw this I knew I had to get it for her. The painted sides are gorgeous and it makes a great addition to her collection. I highly recommend buying this if you love the series or know someone who does!

Loved this book!
I loved this book! It was so well written and with such great characters. I’m pretty sure I will enjoy this whole series. And there seem to be a lot of books – several sub-series, so plenty of good reading to look forward to. Housecat Rusty dreams of living in the wild, hunting his own mice, and being free. Unexpectedly, he encounters some cats from a clan of feral cats who are living the life he has dreamed of. Tough times have cut into the numbers of their able-bodied cats, so when they see Rusty is a promising young cat and that he wants to join them in the wild, they offer him the opportunity to become an apprentice with their clan. There are four clans in the neighborhood: Shadowclan, Windclan, Riverclan, and Thunderclan. Rusty has just joined Thunderclan. He is derided for being a ‘kittypet,’ and must fight for his honor. After being freed from his collar, he is renamed Firepaw and becomes an apprentice of the clan. There is much for Firepaw to learn in his new home. All about hunting and defending the clan’s territory. There is also the history of the clans and their spiritual path. And by keeping his eyes and ears open, Firepaw begins to detect hints of darker happenings among the clans, and even within his own clan.

Awesome! Erin Hunter is a great author. He lead me into a vortex and I came up and into my world of books. In the story, my dearest chap was Graypaw. He's very friendly that s why I like him. Right now, I'm a 9 year old and I think this book's terrific. I dod not like the part when Redtail died in the battle with RiverClan. Still I think it is very good. I-I'm speechless…
