The Chill That Whispered Through the Tomb of My Automobile
In the dim and airless chamber of my beleaguered carriage—its vents exhaling only the warm breath of perdition—I found myself tormented by a despair both mechanical and metaphysical. It was then that I, in frantic supplication, sought the aid of a device most curious: the A/C Pro Car Air Conditioner Refrigerant Gauge and Hose. How strange, how wondrous, that such a humble apparatus should deliver salvation so swift and spectral. With a hiss like the sigh of some long-imprisoned spirit, the refrigerant coursed through the system, and the gauge—glowing with its cryptic, chromatic markings—became my oracle. It spoke not in words, but in steady, undeniable truth, revealing the secret ailments of the cooling labyrinth hidden beneath the hood. Soon, icy air—cold as the breath of a mournful phantom—poured forth into the cabin, banishing the oppressive heat that had settled like a curse upon me. I confess, I sat for a long while, marveling at the sensation, as though I’d awakened some slumbering frost-born entity. The device itself is sturdy, its hose pliant yet obedient, its readings clear even to those haunted by doubt. Simple to wield, yet powerful in its effect, it stands as a rare ally in a world too often shrouded in mystery and malfunction. In short, dear reader, this instrument did not merely restore my air— It restored my hope.

Works well. kinda short hose lengths.
This AC recharging hose/gauge worked exactly as expected. As noted by others, it would be nicer if the hose lengths were a bit longer. However, it is still very functional with no problems/issues executing an AC recharge. Looked at other similar hoses (with longer hoses), but this was highly rated. So, for a bit more money decided it was worth it to avoid problems. Glad I opted for this particular tool. The lever is sturdy enough, I did not feel like it was fragile or would fail. The lever is designed well, so little effort is necessary to depress the piston, and release the 134A, so it can enter the system. And, it was not uncomfortable to hold the lever while moving the recharge can during vertical to horizontal motions. I would advise watching some online videos to be familiar with the general process of recharging your car's AC system. Being somewhat familiar with the process, using a good quality tool like this, makes it a fairly easy DIY project. Solid 4 star rating, with high level recommendation.

Works perfect for the price, i used an adapter for r1234yf along with this to use r134a in my car which is cheaper and worked well.

Quick and Easy to Use. Why did I suffer driving in the heat all these years??!!
I was a little skeptical at first about these DIY AC recharge kits, but we're having a heatwave here in CA and I figured it was worth a try, especially as I'm going to need to make multiple long trips in my truck this summer. My vehicle is a 2000 Toyota Tacoma, and has been without AC for probably 4 years. The short hoses wasn't too much of a concern for me as both the high and low AC ports are easily accessible. Sure enough, when I connected the device to the low pressure port, the pressure gauge showed it was at zero PSI. So, I figured it was going to take a couple of 12 oz cans of R-134a. But, I recharged it into the green zone within just a few seconds, and still have about 25% left in my first can. And the air coming out is nice and cool! I am quite happy with the results. I'm just kicking myself now for suffering in the heat for the last 4 years, because I dreaded paying a huge check to the AC charging mechanics. I suspect I have a small leak and I'll have to recharge it with a few months or maybe every year, but that's OK by me, given how little R-134a I used and how fast the recharge process was.

DIY and save some money!
June 2020 my 2006 Honda Accord was due for a state inspection and general service. As a long time Honda owner I have always be treated fairly by the local Honda service department. When I mentioned that the AC was not blowing cold there was a discussion about the time/cost of doing a proper service on the system. They suggested that I should try fixing the problem on my own. Bought this hose/gauge and sourced the R134a locally. The instructions are easy to follow and the AC was recharged in short order. I'm hoping that there are no leaks in the system; but so far, so good. Cost of the hose/gauge and 2 cans of R134a around $35. Let me add that I believe that I could have gotten away with using only one 12 oz. can. When I first checked the system pressure the needle was in the White (Low Pressure area). After using one can the needle was in the middle of the Green (about 25 psi). Thinking that I could top off the the system at the higher range of the Green I used a second can. The needle stayed in the middle of the Green. This suggests that the cans that I used had a maximum pressure of 25 psi. Therefore there was little concern of overcharging the system. Also, from my research and perhaps a bit of overkill I replaced the AC compressor relay; about $7. The 2006 Accord is the only car that I've owned long enough to require AC service. I mentioned my success to family and friends and offered the use of the hose/gauge should the need arise. I hope you find this review helpful; as so many have helped me in the past.
