High quality and delicious flavor at a terrific price
Terrific price for a high quality product. I normally purchase turmeric at Whole Foods and the price per pound offered here is about 1/6th of the Whole Foods price...a huge savings. The quality was really excellent. Every piece was fresh, plump (not shriveled or dried up), and blemish free. The pieces were a substantial size and the flavor was a little milder than some types, which I think is great. It was not overly bitter like some types of turmeric tend to be. I use a little turmeric every day for juicing, so two pounds is a lot. I've frozen most of it to prevent it from going bad. I haven't noticed any drawbacks of using thawed turmeric for juicing aside from having to plan a little ahead and have it fully thawed before using.

WOW !!! like fresh from the ground. Now that the turmeric supplements are questionable This is a better option. There was a lot for the price, so I froze some and gave some away. Purchased again it was just as good as the first time .

Bad product.
These roots appear OLD. Each root appeared as though all nubs had been cut, as though the root was trying to grow, and sent out anyway. Last order with this company.

Fresh, shipped quickly
Beautiful fresh juicy turmeric, received quickly. After two bad experiences with other vendors, this is the one I'll stick with. Ten stars if i could!!!

Good product, not 2 Lbs.
This was my third time ordering. I have been thrilled with the quality every single time. However, this time, the box was smaller and just didn't feel as heavy as it should. I didn't weigh the previous orders but I did this one. I know a product like this could absolutely change in weight from point a to point b, but this box weighs just barely over one pound on my kitchen scales. That disappoints me a little. The quality appears to still be great but that is a fairly big difference in weight. Again, I didn't weigh the first ir second bix so maybe they were more than two pounds. I will take one star for this reason only because the quality is really good.

Great buy!
Arrived promptly and as described! I'll order more soon as this order was a while back and used for making fire cider.

Fresh, fresh, fresh
I admit to being a bit hesitant when I saw some of the reviews with pictures, but I decided to go for it. Iโm so glad I did because this turmeric is fresher and more moist than Iโve ever purchased locally. I make fire cider every year and thought the one thing I was missing was the turmeric. So, I figured nothing ventured, nothing gained, ordered two pounds and when they arrived today, I immediately removed the skin from a few pieces and grated them so I could add it to my three containers of fire cider. I had already added black pepper so that should help my body to make use of this ingredient. Iโll be back for more when I use this supply.

Checkout out before using & wear gloves
I had to order a rather large amount in order to get fresh turmeric, and although it arrived very quickly, once I opened the box I could smell that something was musty. I was told how to preserve it and before I did, I picked through it very carefully and found about 10 roots that were pretty well beyond using and that's likely where the damp and musty odor came from. I'm glad I opened it quickly before it spread. I washed and dried them all very carefully and then ground them all in my food pros processor to put in a bag, and freeze them until I need them. Turmeric stains everything it touches so you should wear rubber gloves when handling it and wash every utensil as quickly as possible. I sprayed my white sink and food processor with bleach or I don't think I would ever have been able to get rid of the color as plain soap and water didn't help. Fresh turmeric root ground gives us a much better flavor than the powdered kind but it takes a little more effort to use it. I think I have enough now for a very long time โ I put all the ground roots in a plastic bag, flattened it out and put it in the freezer. I can just break off small amounts as I need them. I do something similar with Ginger and I've been very satisfied using it this way.
