TP-Link TL-SF1008D, 8 Port 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet Unmanaged Switch

I cannot say that this switch has anything especially great about it, but it just plain works to create extra network connections when needed. It is not a managed switch which means it should not be hooked to other switches. This can cause loops and hangups in the network, but if it is the sole switch on a home network or something like that, it is great. It is also very lightweight. I velcro taped mine to the back of a desk area which also houses a server and you do not even know it is there and it is not in danger of falling at all. Great product if you are not trying to get more out of it than it is capable of giving. And at $15 you really cannot beat that. I would recommend this to anyone in a small or home office, or if you just need a basic switch to add multiple network drops to an area that might have several devices needing an ethernet connection.

This desktop switch does what it say it will does. It provides 8 ports that allow you to expand your network. I have my router that has 4 wired ports, which were quickly filled. So I plugged a cable from my router to the switch and then the switch allows me to have more ports. Its kinda like an extension cord for your ethernet. That being said you need to plug a router into this switch to work properly. It will not work without a router to route the data thru the switch to the right place. It has been running 24x7 for months now without any incident. I have other TP Link products that have also worked great for me. I recommend this switch if you want to wire your house with a hard wired internet. I keep my wireless turned off almost all the time, as it may negatively affect your health. So wired is much safer and this switch allows you to do it affordable.

It works really well. I've seen ethernet splitters at Walmart for upwards of $50. This product is inexpensive and worked really well. I tested it with all my devices and they ran smoothly. The only reason why I'm giving four stars is because the directions/manual were really confusing. I bought an 8-port model and included was a diagram for a 5-port model. The diagram showed what to plug where and I could not figure out whether the order of the ethernet cables were important, and whether or not the router (ethernet cable) had to be at the last port or the fifth one (as indicated by the diagram). Since we have a Google Hub, it just made it a lot more complicated than it had to be. It wasn't working for the first 30 minutes because of all the different connections (one of which was wrong). If the directions/diagrams were more concise without the guess-work and my fault (the over-analyzation), it would have saved a lot more time and frustration.

Recently hooked up some zcash miners (similar to bitcoin). Blazing fast internet speed isnt needed or I would have sprung for a faster switch. I had been using an anciant hub that I have no idea where I got. But it has been getting too hot for my liking. I literally plugged this in, swapped ethernet cables from the old hub to the new and green lights were flashing instantly.. My asic's were down for maybe 10 seconds. EXACTLY what I was looking for. If I havent updated. It is still working great.

This was a decent price and works great. We have a laptop that we use as a home theater pc, an xbox, and a desktop pc that we needed to hardwire in. This splitter works just fine for what we need. No instructions needed. Just plug in the ac adapter, then plug the line from the router into any one of the splitter's ports and plug the desired devices into the splitter. Over all, very pleased. Pros: -Decent Price -Works as expected Cons: -Requires power outlet (but they all do, so that's not a big deal)

Perfect for my media center! You don't want to see what it looks like behind the TV! This switch juggles my Xbox One, Apple TV, AirPort Express, PS3, Xbox 360, and my HP network printer without blinking (well, the activity LEDs do!). It worked immediately when I plugged it into my AirPort Extreme and needed ZERO interaction. A technical thing first-timers may not know: this is a switch, so obviously one of the ports goes to the modem/router and the other 7 are free for plugging in what you need connected! Slim and light, works great. You cannot go wrong.

good looking, nice compact 8 port switch. Works great, does what a switch is supposed to do. Power adapter is compact too, not a bulky heavy 60Hz transformer. Only CON is there is no means to attach it to a wall. The case is completely smooth on all 6 sides. Guess that's what being a desktop switch means ;) Update 7/31/2017 first switch still working great so I bought another one. They changed it for the worse. Old switch had the activity LEDs on the top. New switch has the activity LEDs back where the RJ45 jacks are. All that's on the top is the power LED. I like the old one better.

Escrevo a analise depois de quase 3 anos porque não lembrei. Produto usado para interligar câmeras ip a um DVR. Ligado 24/h dia, não tenho do que reclamar. Produto simples, barato mas que cumpre a sua função.

Let op is maar tot 100mpbs. Voor mijn gebruik voldoende snel. Heb ook maar een 100mbit abbonement. Werkt als het zou moeten degelijk apparaat.
