I am writing this review after my 3rd purchase of this product. In short, the quality is exceptional. This cover will quite suitably protects your Steelbook with a crystal clear all-around view of the item. There are some caveats. The case is shipped completely flat with a protective plastic skin which is a nice touch for a scratch & smudge free start. You have to bend and squeeze, and contort it to shape before use. This can be a difficult process. I managed to seriously damage the first one and spent a lot of time learning from what I did wrong, but I got the hang of it. It takes a lot of patience to shape it out correctly. The other caveat is that once you slide the Steelbook in and close the flaps and tabs, it is VERY difficult to pull the tab back out to remove the Steelbook. That is not a big issue if you don't want to take it out very often, but if you do, prepare to be frustrated. I almost dinged it to 4-stars, but the difficulties are tolerable, they are well designed, and do the job. If you're a serious Steelbook collector, these are well worth it. It's hard enough to get a pristine Steelbook in an online order (I have about a 33% success rate on getting a pristine one), so once you land one, you definitely want to protect it. Out-of-print Steelbooks are a prized commodity, so if you've spent a pretty penny or two getting one, this is very good protection for it.

Absolutely perfect fit for standard steelbooks. Great for Criterion Blu-rays as well. Durable plastic, easy to fold. Will definitely protect my movies from scratches and dents.

This fits perfectly on my steelbooks and isn't very thick but hopefully does the job. It was also very easy to use and it closed well. I'd recommend it fit keeping your steelbook pristine.

These are almost a little too awesome. In which I mean, I'm buying too many of them. I have around a hundred SteelBooks I've tried to keep safe over time by not putting them next to each other, keeping them clean and handling them carefully. But no matter, the older ones have acquired shelf wear. Thanks to these I can finally have peace of mind. I started casing just my favorites and most valuable but, after going through a ten pack of cases, they just looked too good to not do more. These cases are great. Easy to shape once you've done a couple, crystal clear, sturdy, locking tabs (they are kinda hard to open but you get the hang of it), and keep out dust. It seems like they almost brighten the colors of the SteelBook. They also give them uniformity. I can now rest easy placing SteelBooks next to each other. I also have used these to case thicker Blu-ray (like TV and anime) slip covers as well as some Criterion DigiPacks. I liked these so much, I also started to buy the Malko 4K slipcover protectors as well, which are just as good. Very happy with my purchase.

Alright, so these things do work great for protecting steelbook cases and they definitely get the job done. They are basically just like a plastic slipcover that goes over the steelbook but with flaps at the top and bottom of it that completely encase the steelbook for maximum protection. They do EXACTLY what they are advertised to do and are a great value for your money if your looking for something to help protect your steelbook collection. Unfortunately... there is one catch. Once the steelbook case is inside one of these protectors, it isn't coming out, at least not easily. It is really, REALLY hard to open back up one of these protector cases once it is inside. The flaps on the top and bottom are designed in such a way that once they are folded in, it is extremely hard to get a grip on them in order to fold them back out. So if these are being used for movies that you intend on opening up and watching again frequently, be very mindful of the difficulty that's involved. It almost feels like these were designed purely for collectors to just be put on a shelf and never actually used, but I mean these are blu-ray cases we are talking about here; and blu-rays are supposed to be, you know, actually be taken out and watched, right? I'm not sure if this is a design flaw or what, but It's very unfortunate because otherwise this would have been a really nice product. I did see where one other reviewer mentioned using an x-acto knife to cut off the flaps at the top and bottom to just make it a simple slipcover that could easily be slid on and off. I did try this with varying results. Cutting off the flaps is not too difficult if your used to working with x-acto knifes but it is still a nuisance. Once their cut off, it does work well enough but some of them that I did this too ended up having the opposite problem where without the flaps, they ended up being rather loose and sliding off too easily. This only happened to some of the ones I cut. Most of them worked well enough. Also unless you are really good at doing precision cutting, the end result can end up looking a little bit janky if your not careful. Ultimately, it is a good product that definitely protects and secures your steelbook cases. It's just a shame that they are so hard to get back out once they are in, so being very mindful of that.

I am EXTREMELY pleased with these products. I first purchased a 10 pack of the Steelbook protectors. I was immediately surprised by how well my steelbooks fit. I full expected them to not fit as snug as they do. They are absolutely the perfect fit. Clearly these were designed specifically for this purpose. I was so happy that I bought another 100 and then another 40 (for a large collection). These also fit blurays with slipcases perfectly too. I tried my criterions and though they fit perfectly for those too, I will not be purchasing cases for those, at this time. I also bought 4 of the acrylic covers... now these are a bit pricey, but the quality is awesome. Its a very thick acrylic and, again, they fit steelbooks and blurays with slipcovers perfectly. I use these for some special edition versions of a few movies... some of my favorites. I couldn't make these products any better. Some of the reviews complain about the logo, but I don't find it to be a hinderance. The logo is on the bottom edge (or top depending on your orientation). It doesn't affect anything. Some people just don't want to see it, and though I can understand, it really has no impact on my collection.

This is a simple and well made product that I’ve been using for years. They protect your steelbooks from dings and your slipcovers from shelf wear, and they make your collection look more glossy/shiny if you want to display them or hang them up on some brackets. To open them easily, just don’t use your hands. Get something sturdy and thin (I just use a key or whatever’s handy) and slip it underneath the tab - go in from the top, don’t try to grab the tab from the outside - and pop it out from the inside. Never had any problem with opening these. You’ll be surprised that for just about a dollar each you’ll be keeping your collection like new for years. These protectors add appeal and value to your movies if you ever want to sell them too.

Okay, so obviously if you're looking to buy any kind of these protectors, you are a collector. And chances are, if you're a collector like myself, you might not just collect 4K/Blu-ray steelbooks... there's a good chance you collect other physical 4K and Blu-ray editions, perhaps with "slipcovers" or "slipcases." Anyways, I just started to invest into these protectors because as we also all know, even if you keep your physical media nice and tidy on the shelf, as months turn into years, normal ware and tare EVENTUALLY rears its ugly head and you will start to notice (well, if you have a horrible case of OCD, like myself!) little creases, shelf wear, fingerprints (on steelbooks) and just dealing with plain old dust..wiping them off over and over can cause your precious ever-so-expensive collection to look worn. Even if "we're the only ones that would ever notice" (an expression often used by my fiance..). So, here we are. Malko truly is my favorite among the shortlist of protector manufacturing. They definitely take care of their product as it's always received not only sealed in a plastic bag or "baggy," but also wrapped in plastic several times over, and each protecter is coated with the removable plastic, which makes your new (or old) titles come to life on your shelf with vivid accuracy. To be able to rest knowing that if the vacuum decides to bust open and go haywire, one thing is for sure...your movies are gonna be fine. Now obviously in the unlikely and unfortunate event of a flood or fire, not so much. But the "normal" ware n' tare... you're good. Scoot them around... rearrange them...lightly clean them with your favorite clear wipes. They'll be fine. They seal at both ends and sit nicely. ***Oh also, if this is your first time getting these, DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO GO INSANE THE FIRST TIME YOU BEND ONE OF THESE INTO SHAPE!*** It will be frustrating. You will say (probably) that there's no way to do it...you might cuss. I sure did. But I promise, you'll get the feel for it quick...just keep at it and you'll soon have it done in seconds (vs 20 minutes). 1. Pick one up after unwrapping the seran-wrap off the bundle. 2. Holding it horizontally, with your fingers, at both ends, separate the flat protector from inside, opening it up by forcing your index fingers into the inner corner folds by pressind down with your thumbs, which will make the side spine fold into position. 3. Do this for both sides, bending back and forth the spines until you have it opened up into a nice-shaped square. Don't be afraid that you're gonna crack the plastic. I haven't cracked one yet after being pretty aggressive the first few times:/ 4. Remove the protective plastic wrap now without yet folding in the top or botton ends. It should peel off with ease. 5. Slide your movie in. Allign it to fit. Make sure your sliding in the correct way, so that the spine-side you want to display on your shelf is on the "unglued sealed side." Again, this is something according to preference you'll want to play around with. You'll put it in the wrong way a few times and stump yourself by asking "what am I doing wrong here?" You WILL defeat this. 6. Once enclosed correctly and plastic is peeled, fold down on each line of the ends first, not inserting yet. Just folding on the lines. Then fold down the little 1/4" side insert flaps, NOW fold in the end panels. I also recommend wiping off your steelbooks with soft cloth. Don't use spray...heavy breathe some fog on them and wipe off tge fingerprints. Once inserted, that worry will be gone. Well, until the next time you watch it, lol. All done. Display away! These particular "steelbook" protectors come labeled (note: the sticker on each package shows the following: a barcode [X0023E50VB], then reads "Malko Blu-ray Steelbook Pro...e Plastic Protective Sleeve - New. So, back to my original point. It's hard if you're just starting out and don't know which ones will fit certain releases of your physical media. And again, if you're a collector already, you might just be a collector of Scream Factory, Arrow Video, and others. And, these particular protectors...I found fit the following perfectly: Regular Sized 4K UHD & BLU-RAY Steelbooks, Arrow Video releases (with the slipcover), some individual releases, such as Blue Underground's 4K release of VIGILANTE (w/slip), a few seasons of THE WALKING DEAD (w/slips), etc. If you're wondering about the steelbooks, get THESE. Best fit. For sure. But if you want to protect your other titles (Scream Factory, Vinegar Syndrome, etc) then buy a few of the other Malko protectors also. The ones that just say "Bluray w/slipcover." I thought for sure these would fit my VinSyn blurays with slips, and they do fit inside, but most of them show just a tad of space and doesn't have that nice snug look, which wastes valuable space on your shelf. They would definitely still keep them PROTECTED as far as that goes, but to have them looking really nice on display, I'd say get the other ones. Now I remember thinking that the others were a bit too snug on the others. So I recommend just playing with them. But no doubt, this is a great product. Hope this helps and buy with confidence. It's worth it to keep these expensive-as-hell treasures protected.

Excelente producto, al principio al no traer instructivo me costó entender como se ponía pero después de la segunda ya todo fue más fácil de poner, excelente material muy duradero , mantiene a salvo mi colección , siento que los hace lucir más. El producto venía de usa y aunque fue de allá no tardó en llegar, el precio se me hizo bueno ya que vienen 10, y cada protector trae un plástico protector para que no se raye en el transcurso del envío. Lo recomiendo ampliamente para sus colecciones, entran steelbook normales y blurays también .

I've been looking for a product to protect my steelbooks for a few years now, and I stumble on this product by chance. For the price point, it's a really great product. The steelbooks are well protected and they fit in nicely. I plan on buying more in the near future!

Used to protect all of my last of us steelbook game cases and they’re perfect!

First off, I will simply say that there is literally zero chance you're going to find these, or a similar product, for anywhere close to this price per individual cover in any store or on any other website in Canada. Second, the Malko covers are one of the recommended options on the /r/steelbooks subreddit on Reddit, so you know you're good there as well. The quality of the plastic used in these is amazing. It is extremely sturdy and will not break, to the point that opening it up and properly folding the edges is actually a bit of work! The only issue - and why I unfortunately can't give it five stars - is that the two tabs (one on the top, one on the bottom) used to close the protector have an extremely tight fit, and thus once closed it is fairly difficult to open using just your fingers. Therefore, these are much better for longer-term storage where you don't plan on watching or playing whatever media is in the steelbook very frequently. If you do, you're probably better off with a protector design that leaves the spine exposed so the steelbook can slide in and out...which unfortunately will cost you a lot more. EDIT: I need to add another comment here - I ordered these a second time (3 of them), and although all packages I received were labelled correctly, one of them actually contained the smaller protective cases meant only for the standard black 4k cases, so watch out for that. Unfortunately these are now "Currently Unavailable" as well so I cannot get them replaced.
