12 RC Car LED Lighting Kit Steering Brake Simulation Flash Light for 1/10 Scale Models Yokomo Tamiya HSP HPI AXIAL RC4WD Traxxas

My husband installed this light kit on his RC car. It was somewhat easy for him since he knows how to use wiring and other DIY methods and products. I am knowledgeable on wiring but do not want to attempt this. I am having him install these lights on my RC car for me next. I do not have the patience nor enough know-how for this. If you are capable with wiring or are patient and willing to learn this skill, then it is not too difficult to install. Otherwise, the lights are bright, the turn signals and the break/reverse lights work as advertised. My kids, my hubby, and I get a kick out of seeing the lights work on his RC car as they do on our car.

I order this light kit and the first on came in quick but didn't work. I requested to return for a new light kit and had it within 2 to 3 days. Love the light kit.

The price was right and I wanted to add lights to my 1/10th scale Rock Crawler a Redcat Gen 8. The kit comes with no instructions and the description printed on the light unit itself is almost impossible to decipher. I hooked up the unit to my steering servo and ESC and then mapped out the functions by plug (there are 12 plugs on the box). Some made sense (headlights, turn signals) but the others were just weird. Ther eis a set of clear lights that only turn on when the car is going fast. There is also a set of blue lights that are on until you speed up. I thought i could use them for fog lights, but then I realized the 'Brake lights' were really only on when the car was in reverse, so I swapped the blue leds for clear ( the 'go fast lights) them as backup lights instead. As I said, the headlights and turn signals worked out okay. I ended up not using the 'on when go fast' lights at all. I am pretty happy with my results and my truck looks much cooler, but holy crap, whoever designed this light unit must have been high on crack! There aren't many other units that I found and all seemed to have their faults and were more expensive. I felt this was a good compromise. Warning, you will almost certainly have to buy some servo extenders in order to have enough slack to get your body off your car. you will need 4 of them. Also, the light kit comes with no mounting hardware. Luckily my Redcat came with the mounting kit for the leds. I used some sticky back velcro to mount the control unit. All in all, I am happy with the unit, but it could have been a lot better!

I have gyro installed it took for ever to set up tried plugging in the lights and I couldn't figure it out so I pulled one of the connectors off of the light kit and wired a wpl lipo battery worked for ever till I touched the two wires together ligjts were cooler that way kinda of they flashed from left to right headlights stayed on so drifting at night was awesome put on a show I could kill two nimh's and a 2s Lipo lights never burned out till I messed up

I lost my time buying this product. I disassembled truck original led and I installed this product. After install throttle not working correctly. When we turn right or left orange and red light blink. Product no. Manual. We lost time find out the place where put LED. Someone incredible smart put a blue LEDs in this set. I was furious, and I broken it and I through out. I Lost my time and my money.

I have a Yokomo RD 2.0 drift car. I have a Hobbywing XD1010 Pro ESC, and a Futaba T4PM controller. The lights are pretty bright. Installation was pretty easy. Upon acceleration the fog lights turn off and the high beams turn on. Headlights are sometimes off, but I think they usually come on when going forward. It’s usually Random. Brake lights work when braking and in reverse. Turn signals are working like hazards. I’m still trying to figure out how to switch it to regular turn signals. Hopefully they add how to change the settings in this on the manual in the future. Tips when installing: Install to the receiver first. Add CH1 to CH1, CH2 to CH2, etc. Turn on the car. Test out the lights. When the car is running and the lights are on, place lights into their designated spots. Tape or glue the bulbs in their designated spots. Then double side tape the module to the body. Lastly wire management. Clean up the wiring. I gave 3/5 stars because no instructions on changing settings (not even sure if you can change the settings), and no instructions on what that CH3 does.

No complaints with this product, it worked perfectly had it wired and set up easy to go I just plug it into my RC and it was good to go didn't even need to read the instructions

Easy install.... picture instructions are easy to follow or look it up on youtube. Love the way the blinkers work when turning. For the price you cannot beat this product. A must have for any car!!!!
