Unfortunately as much as I want to help the planet- I’m going back to plastic applicators. These were AWFUL. I actually ordered 3 packs of these and of the 3, I was only able to get around 4 of them to actually work. The cardboard applicator is too flimsy to be able to get any force onto the applicator and get the tampon out of the casing. Therefore most of these had to go in the bin. I tried several techniques…loosing the bottom section from the top first…pushing the tampon out a little before inserting it (don’t try this; the harsh sweated edges will cut you internally as it did me.) All in all - a disaster! Never again! Hopefully the design will progress but for now it’s back to reliable plastic applicators for me I’m afraid.

A brilliant product! Comfortable, does the job well and you get a good amount in the box. It’s a relief to be able to use sustainable period products like these that break down without a trace, when other brands still use so much plastic that goes straight in the bin! Also it feels much better to be using organic cotton with no nasty chemicals going down there. They’re worth it for the price knowing that my purchase has helped aid period poverty charities - will be buying again!

The tampon itself is decent, unfortunately it gets let down by the applicator which for the most part does nothing; it often gets stuck as there's no way to grip it properly to push down the top of it well (the lines at the top do nothing to help grip unfortunately) so you're often having to remove the tampon and do it manually, which is very frustrating.

I was looking round for an alternative product which is eco friendly and I am delighted to have found Grace & Green. The tampons are comfortable and I will be trying their bamboo pads aswell.

I had high hopes for these as they more sustainable than the traditional plastic applicator tampon but these just don’t work. It took 5 different tampons to actually get one where the applicator wasn’t stuck and released the tampon.

Nice quality- really soft and absorbent. No tacky perfume either but they lock the odour away. Nice to know that they’re less harmful to the environment than regular sanitary products. They are definitely a bit pricier than shop bought stuff but I’m happier to pay a little extra for the reduction in environmental harm.

What a nice product! Easy to insert and feels good. The fact that it’s biodegradable and without chemicals makes it even better. Definitely will purchase more!
