The Enchanted Map Oracle Cards: A 54-Card Oracle Deck for Love, Purpose, Healing, Magic, and Happiness

UPDATE: after airing out the cards, guidebook & box in another room overnight, smoking them out with incense, I found that I really love these cards. I have a few of Colette’s decks so I’m happy I’m able to use them. But to the printers of these cards, please please fix the overpowering chemical scent issue. This is the only deck I’ve ever had this scent issue with & I not only read but collect decks as well. These cards are a companion to a book that I have on pre-ordered now but you can also use them totally on their own very well & will give you the info you’re looking for. You don’t need the book, which I think is already out via kindle. I’m just a hands on old fashioned book kinda gal. If there’s a book that goes with an oracle deck, I always get the book because I love collecting them & they give more in-depth info on the very things I was drawn to in the first place! Anyway onto the cards! This is a very intriguing (in the best way) deck. Firstly, I absolutely love the artwork. It’s very beautiful art, in which each card’s art matches the tone of the message. There’s symbolism in the cards that correspond with the message so I really love that. I’m able to use this deck very intuitively. I often find hidden symbolism in the art I didn’t see before reading the message. Then I look again at the card & its meaning has fully opened up. The messages for each card’s art matches are deep & meaningful as well, as long as you’re willing to also do work within yourself. This deck challenges us, our thought patterns, negativity feedback loops & helps us break through those patterns & negativity. We can process traumas in a tangible way, which I think is very helpful along the journey of healing. The messaging has been very excited for the book to come next month! In the guidebook it explains exactly how to use this deck, which includes in your own intuitive way; you don’t have to be rigid in structure. We’re invited to spark our creativity to make our own spreads to use with this deck very intuitively. I’ve created custom spreads using this deck that have all given me (& whomever I’m reading for) accurate & meaningful messages that make total sense in a way we might not have seen before. As always, I’m a “take what I need & leave the rest” when it comes to advice. Meaning I take what applies to me. If it doesn’t apply to me, it doesn’t matter. So there is a card that seemed a little bit religious, but not in an aggressive way & I was able to interchange it with my practice, with the message of the card remaining intact. I also don’t find it to be a “toxic positivity deck”— I think it has a great handle on that balance. All in all, I recommend this deck to anyone, it’s a great oracle deck. The only issue is the print scent which is so overwhelming. This can be remedied by airing it out in a different area but it’d be nice to not have to do that. Other than that, spectacular deck with beautiful art & truly meaningful messaging, especially those on a journey of healing. ORIGINAL (old): It gets stars for the art that I’ll never be able to really look at because whatever ink they used to print these cards smells so awful. I’m one of those weirdos who absolutely loves the smell of a new deck. I always smell the guidebooks. But these can’t even be held for more than five seconds before putting them away. I’m super disappointed in these because I have to wait for the weather to be nice so these can’t air out. I’m afraid they’re bogus or something because the smell is that bad.

It was with great anticipation that I awaited my delivery of The Enchanted Map Oracle deck by the wonderful Colette Baron Reid, and they didn't disappoint! I already own her Wisdom of the Hidden Realms and Wisdom of Avalon decks, and have enjoyed using them so much for both the beautiful artwork and their great accuracy. The Enchanted Map deck was equally as appealing both visually and energetically! The quality of the physical cards is top notch. Because of the card stock that is used, they feel very substantial and weighty while handling them. Additionally, the artwork on The Map cards is as beautiful and symbolic as her prior offerings. I always take a moment to fully absorb all of the images in each card before checking with the book for the meaning (and each card is full of them, so be sure to look closely!). The images that Colette picked for each card speak to me on many levels. The accompanying book of definitions gives both upright and reversed meanings. Each definition is well thought out, and leaves plenty of room for personal application of the meanings. From the moment I opened this deck, I felt an immediate connection with the cards - just as I did with her other decks. Thus far, the readings have been accurate, full of guidance and grace, and wonderfully inspiring!

I probably have a hundred or so decks in a list but this is one of the first oracles I decided to splurge on and I'm happy that I did. It seemed enticing, not only because I've seen so many people use them with such success, but also the dreamy images on the cards. Even though it doesn't appear to have a specific theme to concentrate on, it is so much more versatile and accurate than I could ever have imagined. Even without any tarot or other cards, I pulled three and it easily told my situation in each reading I did of two or three. The descriptions are very accurate despite being on the short side and without a single "keyword" so often seen on oracle cards beneath their main titles. Ordinarily I prefer keywords along with descriptions but this deck really doesn't need them. The images are so intuitive with the title that it's so clear to see what they're trying to tell you. You also have separate descriptions for reversals, which I don't usually do but may make an exception here. Not sure yet there but anyhow, definitely get your money's worth. As for the card stock, it's not bad. Not flimsy but not super high quality either. It is shiny, not matte, but not overly shiny and sleek which is nice.

Beautiful deck with gorgeous illustrations. One of my favorite decks !! I’m a tarot reader but I also buy affirmation cards and use them in my readings as well. Definitely worth having in your collection!!

First i must say that i had my doubts about the set of cards and the book, i have seen many (so called Oracles written) and frankly some of them left me laughing and down right offended at the lack of integrity of the work. this deck however will inspire you and lift your intuitive process to new and amazing heights. The moment i received my deck and companion booklet, i was stunned and frankly taken aback with the accuracy and insightful personal energy of this set. She makes no bones about her journey and let me say here that she has truly been down the hard path and made it back again, she has survived things that most people would have never sprang back from, and she lived to tell the tale . her informative tenderness and her level of compassion shine through in this deck and also the book, and and if i may without hesitation recommend please buy the book with the deck and use it daily it will change your perception of what the cards truly say. The cards themselves are absolutely beautiful and clear, there isn't a confusing muddle of symbols to interpret nor are there lists of things to do and ways to do them . She offers simplistic,, easy informative responsible awareness which i found refreshing and honest. she is very gently forthright and says clearly if you want to heal then do the work , face yourself and get down and get dirty and get with it .. you wont regret this purchase ..

When I first looked at this deck I was immediately drawn into the images. They’re simple and complex at the same time, and the artwork is fantasy, steampunk, and a little Salvador Dali. The cards appear to be good quality, though some have mentioned that older decks have gold edging. That would have been nice but not necessary. I’m not a fan of decks with reverse meanings, but I think it just gives more depth to the cards even if you only read them upright. This deck is about Life’s journey, and the themes are what we can all relate to. The artist seems to have a real thing for giraffes for some reason. Pretty random and weird. So why I knocked off a star. You can lose yourself in the cards themselves. They are deep with meaning, and while written explanations go into how the card’s archetype applies to that portion of your life journey, there is no explanation of the images themselves. You’re left to wonder what a flying rainbow horse over a labyrinth has to do with flying as it relates to life. Please tell me what an ostrich with a windmill on its back is supposed to signify? What does a checkered pathway signify in a storm fields card? Curious minds would like to know, if they’re more than just pretty images on a card. Otherwise gorgeous deck, even with no gold edging. This one may become a go to Oracle deck for me.

I use oracle cards and tarot together. I have found that I love to use this with my favorite Tarot deck, the Druidcraft Tarot! I find that as I place a Druidcraft card in my spread it will give me great insight as to what is going on (or went on or is coming up) and as I lay one of the Enchanted Map cards near it, it will confirm the information given to me by the Druidcraft as well as give me advice on how to deal with that situation in a positive way. They work so harmoniously together that I don't even use them separately anymore! I love how I have gotten cards that would have frankly been a bummer in my readings, but they were very accurate because that was what was going on in real life and it was stuff that I needed to know. Then this deck helped me further interpret the information, helped me know if I was on the right track, and was a source of positive advice and inspiration in those situations. It has caused all of my readings to be more positive, hopeful experiences because I am left knowing not only what is going on and how things may unfold, but what may be done to help a negative situation and how to see the bright side of a situation that may only seem negative. The cards are also BEAUTIFUL, thick, shiny, with shiny gold edges and they feel good to hold.

I just love this deck! I own a few oracle card decks however this is my first deck from Colette Baron-Reid and I was not disappointed. knew I just had to have these cards the moment I saw them, they called out to me! lol they are just lovely to hold, look at and to work with. there is also an accompanying book to this deck, called 'the map' also by Colette Baron-Reid, which is available to purchase separately. You don't have to buy the book to understand and work with these cards (however I did and it does help in providing a greater insight into the meaning of the entire deck as well as the meanings into the 'lands' on each card). there is already a little accompanying guide book included with the deck to help you gain more insight into each card and also provides info on spreads you can do and reversals of the cards are also explained. some oracle decks do not include reversals as an option, this one does which I think adds more depth to the deck and each individual reading could contain 'challengers' as well as your 'allies'. The cards themselves are made of extremely good card stock and are edged in gold, giving a solid, strong and safe overall feel to the cards. The art work is just simply beautiful, I want to keep getting them out to look through them! lol The cards come in a very sturdy two piece box that I am confident will keep the deck safe and protected for a long time to come. This deck is made to be used with you intuition and it is easy to interpret each meaning from the picture and simple description on each card and the readings are spot on. I love this deck! I would highly recommend this deck to anyone who enjoys using oracle cards, appreciates quality and beautiful art work and is looking for insight and guidance on their journey along their individual 'map' of their life. I highly recommend them! xx

Si quieres el Tarot del mapa encantado, te recomiendo que te compres esta edición en Inglés porque es mucho más bonita, sin bordes y acabado brillo. La edición en castellano me gustó menos. la cabilidad como todo lo Hay house es excelente
