Far Cry 2 - PC

This game is second only to Far Cry 3, but boy does it pack a whollup of a game on one disc. The graphics look amazing, the atmosphere is surreal, and the mechanics are solid. The world is very large with lots to explore and lots to buy. Traveling can be difficult sometimes even with the bus fast travel, but when you do travel by care you find hidden gems, either literal hidden gems which are your currency, or gems like unlocking a location or finding a rare gun. The missions have some variety with the similar concept and execution. What really makes this game different from the rest is the feeling that you actually have to survive and think instead of just running and gunning. Overall this game is one that will change the way you think of how to play games and will keep you entertained for days while running on nearly any PC with nearly any processor.

Having been a fan of Far Cry, I was expecting a much better game that this. This game is horrible. The AI can see you in the total darkness and you can stand right in front of them nose to nose and shoot a hundred rounds before they die. You have to travel from one end of the map to another, with the same safe houses, shoot a few enemies, drive a truck, same ol' same ol'. You can crouch but cannot go prone, what's up with that! Soldiers go prone UBISOFT! LONG load times and I have a screaming fast machine with a killer video card. This game had potential and is just ok. Save your money and wait until it goes on sale.....WAY on sale! If you buy this game at retail price, don't come crying to me...I told you so!

Eventho it was designed for earlier versions of Windows it works just fine on my Win10 pc with just a little tweeking in the display settings. Awesome challenging game that was delivered in a very timely manner.

Far Cry 2 is a very enjoyable FPS. The immense open gameplay in the wilds of African jungles and swamplands with enemy infested crossroads, assassination contracts and mission objectives from rescue operations to destroying convoys of weapons or materials all make for an exciting action adventure in this second Far Cry installment.

I like this game for it's great graphics but it kind of drab brown being in Africa. The controls are pretty good and the snipermode is very useful since I don't like to go in Rambo style. Too bad it doesn't have the F1 3rd person vehicle mode like in FarCry. I find it hard to keep on the winding roads without going into a ditch. I try to keep on the main mission and not the side missions from the gun dealer cause I end up getting lost. I have to get use to the map or remember the terrain because I try to follow the road and end up getting stuck by a mountain or river and I have to backtrack. I like the blinking green light that indicates where the case of diamonds are. FarCry 2 is a great game but I like FarCry better because of the scenery and story and F1 vehicle 3rd person vehicle mode. FarCry 2 runs on Win 7 but FarCry runs on win xp on my computer. And you don't need no registration code to install the games.

Game arrived quick and like new condition

This game was overall very enjoyable, it was very cheap considering its age. The PC version of this game is great the graphics are gorgeous and you don't even need to have an incredibly strong PC to enjoy the graphics unlike some other games, Crysis for instance. With the mouse and keyboard you have very accurate control over your character which you pick out of a slew of mercenaries, and depending on that choice you choose who your buddies are. Buddies play a very critical role in your game experience they can come to the rescue you if your wounded or they can give you alternatives on how you can complete missions that you collect from various factions and people you meet throughout this magnificently written story. Now for the bad, the missions can get very repetitive at times especially if you decide to play all the missions back to back to back to back to back to back, which as shown can get very annoying. But, if your a casual gamer who only plays it every once in a blue moon it can seem very fun and diverse, but I had the repetitive feeling because I am a hardcore gamer. Another thing I found a tidbit less than satisfactory is the combat in the game, although the machete is very satisfying plunging a rusty blade into the chest of your dying adversary or the massive and devastating explosions you create, the gun play in particular was not as well developed as some other shooters on the market. I got farcry1 instead of farcry

Very enjoyable game, you first start and it is a linear tutorial, but very soon opens up into a vast african landscape with many different land types. Enemies are very smart, which makes for an interesting play. Many different types of weaponry that you can purchase and upgrade, as well as other equipment upgrades. Day & Night playable, amazing graphics. Playtime of 10 hrs JUST on the main campaign storyline, all side quest included you could probably rack up an easy 30-40 hours of play time. Overall, a great buy, hours of fun.

Although it was very different than the first one (Far Cry). It was a very interesting game with lots of cool missions and lots of options on how to accomplish your missions. Very realistic game play and it will take you a long time to complete. A vast open world with lots of scenic views with a choice of stealth or action. It's worth the buy if you love that kind of game.
