DON"T BUY A RETURNED ITEM! "Like New" IS A LIE!

This fan arrived in packaging that was very "beat up". Inside, the parts were all there, but rattling around, and NO instructions for assembly and use. Luckily, it wasn't that hard to figure out. The fan seems to be working as expected, however the remote barely works. You have to stand right next to the fan, in order for the remote to work. Probably the battery, but it should not arrive with an old, almost run down battery. When I ordered this fan, I did so knowing it was a returned item, but the description says returned items are inspected and guaranteed to be in like-new condition. BS! It wasn't much if any less than a new one in cost. But the quality and condition makes me very wary that it will last. I'll never do it again! And Amazon, take down the description that says it's "like new" (or whatever the exact wording is). That is a lie!
