Why would you ever use a bladder any longer???
Avid hiker, hunter, backpacker. I decided to take a chance on this product because I was so tired of having to essentially unpack and remove my bladder every time I wanted to fill water and hated having wet gear the one time that my bladder sprung a leak inside my pack. After making the switch I struggle to understand why bladders are even a thing any more? This system is well made and has a wide range of vessels it can attach to. A Nalgene or simple gas station water bottle weighs just as much or less than a bladder and allows for so much more versatility. It may not hold 3L of water, but bring another bottle that weighs 2 oz and you are covered. Perhaps my favorite piece of this system is the mouth bit. It seals well, is comfortable and efficient to drink from. The cap that covers it is amazing in keeping it clean and damage-free. This system on a bottle allows for several things that bladders do not: 1) Bottles are much preferred for using during cooking. Trying to add water out of a bladder is cumbersome, both to remove from pack and to empty into cookware. A bottle you just pour or drink straight from. 2) If you keep the cap for the bottle, you can share the bottle with others if needed as well as take in literally any other pack or standalone. 3) What I think I find most appealing and somewhat funny, is that you can use it inside your pack just like a bladder, but now you can also keep in an exterior pocket of your pack and have easy access 100% of the time. That being said, a bottle outside the pack in cold temps means a possibility of freezing, but I'd rather have a cheap water bottle freeze and fail than an expensive bladder. Two points that I could see improvements on in future versions of this are: 1) Hose Stiffness, the hose is very rigid and will take time for it to find its memory to each pack/system you place it in. That also being true for drinking, it is stiff and you have to put a little more effort into bending the hose to drink from... A small price to pay for durability though. I Believe this was designed for desert climates though so I am sure the hose loosens a bit when in the heat of the desert. 2) The hose has a thin "cloth" sheath, which is awesome for glare and heat absorption of the hose and water within, but it lacks insulation, so in colder temps there is the chance your hose will freeze on you. Would like to see the neoprene hose sheath like other bladder models out there. Again, I believe this was designed with desert warfare in mind so insulation was not high on their list I imagine. All in all, I will be going this route for all future water system purchases. Bladders just don't cut it anymore.

Versatile
Has multiple adapters for various liquid holding containers. The only two I'll ever use fits 2 and 3 liter bottles and my big mouth nalgene bottles. What I thought was super cool was the straw is long and slides up into the hose so it'll work with any length bottles like the 48oz nalgene bottles. I keep them behind me in my kayak or in my backpack when I'm hiking and the hose works well without having to wrestle getting the bottle out to sip on while I've got paddles in my hand or trekking poles. They're heavier than other models but it's from the fabric hose covering that helps keep the water cool so I don't mind the otherwise bulky nature of it. I want every drink a cool dink vs sucking up hot water first to get to the cool which you'll do with an uncovered hose. The straw can be purchased at ace hardware in any length in case your water vessel is ridiculously long. It's common plastic tubing. It's made well and am confident it will last. As far as value, it depends on how often you're likely to use it. For me, based on my continuous adventures, the decision was easy. After several uses my only complaint is, it's harder to suck water because of the hose clip extention. It's not completely air tight so you suck air while trying to get water. If the hose was one piece instead of two that problem wouldn't exist. Not very efficient in that regard but it still works.

Great product, bad valve
Love the quick connect feature, fits right onto my nalgeene bottle, valve that comes with it is cheap and leaks under pressure and is uncomfortable on the mouth. I ordered the bite valve for an extra 20 dollars and that one works great. Extra 20 bucks though.

A great alternative to in-pack water reservoirs!
I bought this for my trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in NM, and it worked out wonderfully. It allowed me to keep my water bottles on the outside of my pack where they were easy to reach and refill. There are adapters to work with Nalgene, Smartwater, and other bottles. I appreciated the sturdy valve cover as my pack was often on the ground, and the cover protected my bite valve from dirt and grime. The adjustable bottle straw allows me to use it with different height bottles, and the tube was plenty long to loop from my side pocket bottles, over my pack and around to the front. The adapters never leaked even when my pack would end up laying on its side, and it held up well to the rigors of a 9 day wilderness trek. This is my go-to system for backpacking hydration. Great product!

Don't buy this
I would like a refund it is that bad. It's like sucking a milkshake through a coffee straw. Brilliant Idea and horrible execution. The price makes it worse. Avoid this unless it's less than 12 USD with shipping. The flow rate is so slow even a hamster wouldn't be able to get water from this. Horrible construction and build quality. Leaks and breaks easily. Do not buy this.

Great, easy to use, wouldn't hike without it.
This is one of those things that you dont think you need until you get it. Iv always hiked with normal water bottles, and having to stop and take off your bag or having to do that weird reach behind you to grab the bottle is annoying. You could get a camel bag but cleaning and filling them is also a hassle. This works great. Easy to clean, easy to use, comes with tons of attachments so it will most likley work with any bottle you have. No leaks, no problems what so ever. After buying this it would be hard to hike out without it.

Excellent if modded
Clever kit that creates a hybrid system that's lower commitment than maintaining a bladder. I've purchased 2, one for my Hydroflask and the other for my 32oz Nalgene. The universal connections are well placed and great for replacement parts. The kit is much cheaper than the few other alternatives, and I suspect it works just as well. However, you will encounter poor flow issues if you don't modify it. The flow issue mainly stems from the breather valve next to the hose. While it keeps water from sloshing out, it doesn't allow enough air to enter the bottle after water leaves through the hose. Removing the rubber gromet/valve and giving it the tiniest snip with scissors/flush cutters will fix most of the flow issue. Also look out for how restricted the straw opening inside the bottle might be. Just know a rigid bottle will not deflate and provide as smooth flow as a bladder reservoir can. Well-designed kit with everything you need otherwise. Mild leak if angled, but not catastrophic. Recommend to anyone who doesn't want to clean a bladder, but may have issues reaching for their bottle.

Wide Mouth Hard Bottle durability/function with Hydration System convenience
This is pretty awesome! In college I worked as a backcountry guide, doing a lot of wilderness camping. All of us guides used wide mouth nalgenes, and would insist that our guests also carry at least one as well, even if their CamelBak/water bladder could hold more water. This is because the Nalgenes were more dependable, easier to keep clean, and easier to use with our water filtration systems than water bladders. This Source Tactical product brings the best of both worlds. It allows the use of the Nalgenes (of which I've collected over a dozen) and gives the convenience of the hydration tube! (Of which I was always a little jealous of). My one caution is the little gasket (pictured). If you pull the straw all the way out and try to reinsert without popping the hose off to make sure it is seated correctly you can lose the gasket in the tubing, and without the gasket the suction/straw doesn't work properly. Fortunately a common O-ring size (1/4" interior, 3/8" exterior) works quite well and can be found most places for fairly inexpensive. Shout-out to Source Tactical, I emailed them last night and they emailed me back today offering to send me a couple of the gaskets (blue picture is from Source Tactical). I've only seen one other company putting out a product like this one, and I like the innovation!

As described
Great colour and functionality. The drinking end opens with a pull and closes with a push instead of biting like simulate products, with a lid that protects it when not in use so can be sure of no wastage. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect & Versatile
Perfect for hicking/backpacking. Once I played around with connections and learned how to open the mouth valve (find the dot & turn clockwise) water flowed easily. One added bonus is the mouth piece connection is universal so I can swap it out with my hydropack mouth piece.

Funziona bene
