I do a lot of of cooking and I have wanted a nice set of knives for quite awhile. I finally decided to get a set and stumbled on these. The price was right and they looked nice in the pictures. When I got them I was really impressed with the quality. They are full tang and the handles are comfortable to hold. The set all put together look great on my counter top. I have used a couple of them to cut up some veggies so far just as a test, and they are very sharp. The set also comes with a pair of meat claws, which I haven't used before, but look forward to using. I make a lot of ribs and chicken. These are going to help me prepare many excellent meals.

I am a knife guy, steal is the deal. The workmanship and grind is very good to excellent. Most importantly, the X50Cr15, is a high carbon knife that holds the edge longer and sharpness to a higher level. Higher the carbon, higher propensity to rust. HARDNESS is excellent as well. For $39???...Grab it!! Hand wash and dry immediately...if rust appears, I believe white vinegar will do the trick. And yes, higher the carbon, the more brittle the knife. Some woman said m she broke her steak knife....what kind of meat is she cutting 😅 Thus, do not open paint cans with these knives and you should be fine.

We have been looking for a nice and sharp knife set but couldn't find something less then $150 for a quality set. I have been following the Macy's sales but didn't have any chance to get anything around this price range. After i searched and checked lots of listings i decided to go with this set and ordered it and so far not regretting about the decision. When I received the product the first thing I realized was the weight of the package and I immediately knew that i ordered something quality. *The knives are thick and they are not bendy which what i have been looking for but couldn't find it at right price. *The steak knives are very sharp and effective, our guests liked them. *It come with a sharpener which is great for future use as well as for the existing knives need sharping. *It comes with a washing cloth to keep them shiny. *It comes with 2 claws to help you while cutting meat and other things. And many more... These are dishwasher safe but make sure to dry the knives before you place them in to the wooden holder. Overall this was a very good buy and i am planing to buy couple of these for Christmas gift. This set will be an excellent gift. If you think this review was helpful please don't forget to vote.

These have been really great knives for the price point. I did run them through the dishwasher instead of hand washing them over the last 3 years. Just recently one of them chipped off a piece of the white plastic on one of the steak knives. Occasionally they get rust spots too but I’ve been able to remove the rust with CLR spray. For the price they are really a good quality .

We were searching for best valued knife locally for our day to day household cooking chores. Cutco was one of the brand we liked from the display in Costco however it was so costly, so went with this knife set and i'm glad i did. Package came with all the different knifes along with meat claws and a small kitchen towel to wipe the blades after wash. They are so sharp and i did get the cut on my finger accidentally for the first time when i open the package. Bigger ones are packed with little guards at the top and when i tried to remove them, i got the cut in my finger as i didn't expect it to be too sharp. Do beware and be careful when you unpack and setup the knife stand. They look modern and the stainless steel is not so bright or sketchy but with gripping handles. Knife block is well made to hold the knifes in place and everything fits properly with no issues so far. I was worried about the stain after few washes but till now knife looks anew after several uses. We didn't unpack everything as the knife set has more than required, so we kept few for future use. Apart from the accidental cut i had during unpacking, i can't complain on both the quantity and quality.

This is a really nice set of knives for the money. They are very sharp, so be careful. I have used them for several days now. The kitchen sheers are great for cutting, from ribs to green beans. The set came with a potato peeler a meat shredder and an apron which I have not used yet. Ives used the sheepskin to dry the, and they look like new. The set looks to be top quality. The handles are a quality hardwood which are very comfortable to use. These clean up really beautiful. Says they are dishwasher safe, however hand washing in my opinion will keep them from the harshness of a dishwasher.

I have only had these knives for a little over a week, and so far I really like them. As other reviewers mention, you will want to sharpen them some when the arrive before you use them. Honestly, they are just as good as some super expensive knives I have had in the past. The white handles look really slick with the dark wood block and they haven't shown and dirt on them (yet).. this was one of my concerns, especially with the scissors as they don't get washed necessarily with every use. I love that it has a full set of steak knives, too. They look really, really slick on a table setting. All in all, I'd say I took a gamble on these and I'm really satisfied with the quality for the low price tag.

Honestly, I didn't expect too much out of this knife block set. I was very surprised how well these performed. The knives are sturdy and solid and do not look cheaply made. Blades are extremely sharp and cut through any cut of meat with minimal effort, the way a knife should work. You get an entire assortment of knives for the price paid. They recommend not to put these in the dishwasher. Out of habit I ignored that tip and put them in there like i have with my other set of knives. So far, I haven't seen anything affect the knives because of it yet. Give these knives a chance. I believe you will be happy with the choice!

Returned these as they were falsely advertised as GERMAN stainless steel. They are not !

After cleaning them, i see stains of rust all over

Value for money. The knives look great and handle well.
