DIY 710W Planer 82mm - 710W

I purchased this for my husband as we had new carpet fitted and needed to take some wood off the bottom of the door. Feedback from husband was it was a nice product and did a good job with no issues. Price was reasonable and recommends.

Despite that issues I had with it being a returns item this is good quality, excellent value

I used the planer for the first time today (08/02/21) and overall found it great value for money and easy to use. I used it to plane down the bottom of some internal doors, as I recently had new carpets fitted and a couple of the bedroom doors would not close because of the thickness of the pile. The tool was easy to use, taking only a few minutes to shave 1cm from the doors. It did take a little while to figure out the push button start of the tool, at first I thought it was faulty, as it seemed to start intermittently, however, I think this is a safety feature when I didn't have the planer vlade resting on the wood to be cut. Excellent value for money, recommended.

Great but still getting used to it , start on lowest setting first until you get used to its power and cut . But I'm definitely happy with purchase to sort out my recycled doors .

Not the best planer in the world of course, and won't be at these prices. Found that if I set it to 1mm then it takes off nothing, and if I set it to 2mm then it maybe takes off 1mm. But it has taken a slice of bottom of a door for us, and very easily, and I shall probably use it very rarely, so probably good enough for occasional use.

I needed to trim some existing doors and this just made the job so easy. There is a youtube video out there for the same type of model with some handy tips

I buy tools if the net cost is cheaper than a tradesman. The added grief was no tradesman seemed to be interested in planning one door - this did the job and at a bargain price. For sale one planer - job done :-)
