One of my favorite lights to have mounted. The output is amazing for its size. The paddl switches I believe are superior to any other brand. Easy to function between momentary and constant. I could live without the strobe function but that’s just me. The focus is a nice wide flood with a well lit hot spot. Easily punches out to 75 yards. The battery life is pretty good and it’s easy to swap them when needed. I have never had it drain batteries while it’s stored like other brands. I know this is going to work every time I need it. This is my go to recommendation for first timers and anyone just getting into mounted lights. I’ve tried other expensive brands and this is absolutely the best bang for your buck. Tough as nails, I’ve dropped mine plenty of times and have never broken it. This was actually my first mounted light and I always seem to circle back to it. Can’t ever go wrong with a streamlight! Also love the fact that almost every holster company makes a compatible holster for this model.

I've had my Surefire X300 Ultra for some time now and it's a great light. I finally got around to buying this TLR-1 HL light since I wanted a small light for my AR rifle. This works great with the way the momentary switch activates the light, to how I hold the rifle and where my thumb rests. However, I recently removed it from my AR to go with a different light on it, and put the TLR-1 HL onto my Glock 19... my Glock 17 has my X300 Ultra on it. Some things that you notice right away between the 2 popular weapon-mounted lights is that the X300 Ultra is much longer than the TLR-1 lights. The X300U light sticks out much further in front of the muzzle on any gun, compared to the TLR-1 lights. However, the finish on the Surefire lights is much better and more durable than the anodized finish on the TLR-1 lights. After shooting a few hundred rounds with both lights on my Glocks, I can easily wipe away the power blast from the X300, but on my TLR light I can see a slight haze where it started to burn into the anodized finish. My previous TLR-1s was like this too, so it seems to be the same with all Streamlight weapon-mounted lights. The other noticeable things that you recognize right away is that the shiny chrome ring on the TLR lights really stands out on a handgun, and not in a good way IMO. I wish there was an easy way to get rid of this besides using a toothpick and piece of sandpaper to dull the surface, and then using a Birchwood Casey black paint pen to fill it in (which actually matches the rest of the light perfectly). Also, the mounting system is very easy to use with the X300 light as it just clips right onto my Glock frames, but the TLR lights are more modular and can fit onto a lot more guns & rails with ease. For aesthetics purposes, I like the clean & smoother lines of the X300 lights on any handgun, but that's just a personal preference. As for the light brightness itself, the X300 Ultra is rated at 500 lumens and the TLR-1 HL at 630 lumens. However, that doesn't really matter much in this case when looking at both LED's and their housings. The TLR-1 HL LED is slightly larger, but it sits more forward in a shallow reflector, thus making it into a good 'flood' light. The X300 Ultra LED is recessed further back and has a much longer reflector that's shaped to make the light more of a 'thrower' with a much brighter hotspot, which is what it exactly does. When shining both lights side by side, one thing you'll notice right away is the X300 Ultra is more of a neutral white color, and the TLR-1 HL is more of a cool white color (more blue looking). Also, the hotspot on the X300 is very bright and precise. On the TLR-1 HL, it's a little fuzzy since the reflector doesn't focus on this, but it's still bright looking. The other thing that you notice is the immediate light surrounding the hotspot area on the TLR-1 HL is a little brighter, but the overall spill (flood of the entire light) is much bigger on the X300 Ultra. The lines on the hotspot and spill are sharper on the X300 Ultra than on the TLR-1 HL. However, at price point where the TLR-1 HL is about 40% cheaper than the X300 Ultra, it's still a very good light and does exactly what it was intended for. But for a few extra bucks, personally I would stick with the X300 Ultra... that's not to say I'm going to get rid of this, I'm going still going to use it since it's a very good & bright light. So with the heavily debated argument saying that 500 or 630 lumens on a weapon-mounted light is way too much for home defense use..... I say use whatever you want and what you're comfortable with (I have much brighter handheld flashlights and I'm comfortable with using them in all environments). Yes, both lights are extremely bright in my house and can be too much if I shine it directly at a wall in front of me and get the after effect from the wash back. However, I've done some low light courses and they stress on how and where you point the light. With some training and some common sense, you can utilize an extremely bright weapon-mounted light to your advantage. You don't need to point the muzzle & light directly at your target when identifying it (unless you know it's a badguy for sure and you want to blind or disorient him), but shining either the X300 Ultra or TLR-1 HL lights above or to the side of a target will create plenty of spill to illuminate them up and positively identify them and also see what's in their hands. If you live on a ranch where there's a lot of open area that's dark with some long distances, the X300 Ultra will probably be the better bet. For the urban environment where most of us are, the TLR-1 HL may work out better, but the X300 Ultra still works just as well too. You just have to figure out what light is going to best work for you and for your environment & duties (whether it's the TLR-1HL or a X300 Ultra, or even another light).

Love streamlights, this fits well on my fnx 45 tactical. Little pricey but streamlight is worth it for the quality and shipped fast and came with any hardware I needed. Mounting went well and has a strong brightness and goes more than you should need

I recently added the Streamlight 69260 TLR-1 HL to my setup, and it's been a dependable addition for my Springfield Prodigy with its Picatinny rail. The installation was straightforward—no tools required—and it integrated seamlessly, which made the process feel efficient and hassle-free. I appreciate how quickly I can attach or remove it if I want to switch to a lighter setup for shooting. The ambidextrous switches are well-positioned, making them easy to reach without getting in the way during use. Both the momentary and constant-on functions work reliably, which has been helpful for various scenarios. It's built tough, with solid construction that holds up well, and the 1,000-lumen output provides good brightness for illumination at a distance. One minor drawback I noticed is that it only uses CR123A batteries and doesn't support rechargeable 16340 lithium-ion cells due to voltage issues. It's not a dealbreaker for me, but it would be a nice option for future updates. Overall, this light has performed as expected for tactical applications, and I'd suggest it to anyone looking for a practical rail-mounted solution.

First time firearm owner and wanted a decent weapon light. Surefire seems like the go-to brand however I didn't want to shell out $250+. Read the reviews for Streamlight and took a chance...glad I did. For me: PROS: -Light is bright and shined brighter than my 800 lumen tac flashlight so 1000 lumens claim seem right on. -Strobe function is pretty wicked and should do a great job of blinding a target well. -Switch feels pretty sturdy when activated -Mounting was a snap (multiple locking keys included) and it fit perfectly on my G17 right out of the package CONS: -Takes 2 CR123A (no biggie and for the higher lumens it's worth it imo) -Light sticks out beyond muzzle about 1/2 - 3/4 inch. Wish it was a little shorter but for the higher lumens It's worth it (and after having it for about a month and a half now, it's starting to grow on my) One tip I might add, which I read on multiple sites, is to put some kind of "protective coating" on the lens itself if you practice with it on. I'm a noob and didn't understand what the crusty stuff building up on the lens was but after researching and learning that this build up can block the light output over time. From what I read, a good "coating" might be chapstick. I've yet to try it but am hoping that this will work. I've been lucky in that the light hasn't fallen off after about 5 sessions at the range but I've heard that a little loctite on the locking screw might do the trick. I'll continue to take my chances. My rating is 5 stars so far. If you're looking for a pretty good light at a pretty good price, this is the one.

Better priced than anyoutfitters I've visited in my area. I was looking for a simple, inexpensive, and easy to use flashlight for my Mossberg 590A1. Initially, I was worried about how it would hold up on a pump action 12 gauge shotgun and it passed with flying colors! For my setup, I have it mounted on the left side of the shotgun's forend. I will be swapping it to the right side as the picatiny rail used to mount the light makes every shot feel awkward on my thumb. Not the light's fault. Just my poor choice of placement. For ammunition used to test durability, I fired 15 of 2 3/4 Winchester Super X 00 Buck, 15 of 3 in Federal Flite Control 00 Buck, 15 of Federal 2 3/4 Power Shok 1 oz. slugs and 100 of 2 3/4 Field and Target Multipurpose load - all of which were fired with the TLR 1 mounted and turned on. First impression Pros and Cons to follow: PROs: 1. Very Sturdy 2. Simple. Nothing too fancy or edgy. Inconspicuous. 3. Less expensive on Amazon. Cabela's priced it at $178.99 and would not price match with Amazon Prime. 4. Installment took 2 minutes or less. 5. Multiple mounting options for different types of rails. 6. Comes with tools to install. 7. Designed to hold on its own. I hand tightened it initially and followed up with a 1/8 to 1/4in turn using a coin. Held up on all my shots. No need to tighten more than that. 8. Controls are easy to manipulate. 9. Extremely bright! Even in well lit rooms, it will overpower most lights! Perfect for blinding homeinvaders (should that happen). 10. Lightweight but again... sturdy. Of course it's designed mainly for pistols so its weight is felt even less on my Mossberg 590A1. Cons (this is just me being nitpicky): 1. Battery replacement requires dismounting. However, the battery chamber and locking mechanism seems to be waterproofed and holds very well. 2. Light flickered just a tiny bit when I fired the 00 bucks and 1600fps slugs (not very noticeable). But, the light never flickered when I swapped the light onto my 9mm and 45mm pistols and when I was firing multipurpose field and target 12 gauge loads. 3. I find no purpose in the Strobe option other than in a tactical setting to help identify yourself as to other friendly maneuver... maybe blinding effect? I don't know. It's a plus to have but I find no use for it. Bottomline, great light, great price, great addition to my home defense shotgun! It's not perfect but it's up there! I hope the helps! I will update more if anything comes up the more I use the TLR-1. Good job Streamlight!

Amazing light for anything I put this on almost everything I own

This light is worth the money. Build and finish are great. Very durable (and waterproof). It is bigger than I thought it would be and adds noticeable weight to your firearm. The weight is well worth it. The activation switch is again great quality and is easily activated with your support thumb. The light is pretty intense for indoor use (be cognizant of reflective surfaces), but works well indoor and out. The beam has nice spill that makes for quicker room clearing as opposed to some lights and their spotlight beams. Runs on two cr123's. The light installs very easily and snaps on with spring tension while you hand tighten the adjuster. Overall very happy with this purchase and would recommend it. I would also like to mention that I had absolutely fantastic customer service from amazon with this purchase.

東京マルイG17、G18Cに、TLR-1HLを装着。 「サファリランド製6378 ALSパドルホルスター＋ウィズライト：GLOCK G20/21用」に挿しました。 すべり具合やロックのフェーリングは、完全にOKで素晴らしいものでした。 このホルスターはライト非装着でも銃を保持ロックできますが、そのフィーリングは装着時の方が良かったです！ ガタつきは皆無で不安になる固さもなく、スムーズな抜き差しが可能でした。 保持力の調整はホルスター横中央のネジの締め込みで行い、当品の場合はレンズ幅に合わせ「最弱」にしました。 全長はX300に比べ短いので、ホルスターライト蓋にライト先端は届かず隙間ができます（写真）が、保持性能には全く影響ありません。 尚、明るさは実用十分であり、作りは本物だけあって最高です。 レンズ部が完全クリアーなTLR-1より、HLの方がリフレクターのモロ見えが無く好みでした。 懐中電灯っぽさがないのがグッドｗ
