Great buy
Update: I've been using for almost 2 years. Still the best gentle cleanser I've used. Many nights I don't need a second cleanse. 2 pumps even gets off sunscreen, makeup and waterproof mascara. I take my time and massage into my dry face. Then I add water and rinse clean. Pat dry. I recommend to all my friends. This is a good cleansing oil at a good price. I don't notice any scent. But it's not just that 1 pump removes ALL my make-up... Including mascara. It's the emulsifiers they added that makes this rinse off cleanly. No greasiness at all. I use this every night as my first cleanse. My face feels good after. Not dry and not greasy. I then use CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser as my second Cleanse. I'm 71-y/o and I have tired, dry skin, but not sensitive skin. My nightly skin routine goal is to cleanse and moisturize. Best skin possible. I've tried other oil cleansers. I've used CeraVe cleansing balm. I liked that a lot. It was simply too expensive and the balm didn't apply as silky smooth as this. My morning and night skin routines are a deliberate time to be in the moment. I don't hurry thru them. Sounds crazy. This is one of my anchor products.

Very impressed with this product
I bought this along with the Hada Labo foaming cleanser. Wow, I am impressed. I have used many makeup wipes which didn’t remove my makeup very well and all the scrubbing irritated my skin. I tried the micellar waters, which to me are the same thing as makeup wipes, and don’t work very well. I’ve also used my grandma’s go-to (she had lovely skin), cold cream. The cold cream does moisturize my skin, but it is too heavy to use everyday, and messy to wash off. This cleansing oil is just what I was looking for. On a daily basis, I only wear waterproof mascara and a few layers of sunscreen throughout the day. I only need a few drops of oil, rub it into the mascara, then add warm water and rub it all over my face to dissolve the sunscreen. After rinsing again then washing my face with the face wash, there is not a speck of mascara left behind. If i’m wearing full makeup, my routine is the same, but I need about a half a pump instead to dissolve all of my makeup. No more waking up with eyeliner bits in the corner of my eyes! I have oily skin, but oils cleansers like this one don’t make my skin oilier if I wash them off afterwards as the second step. It actually cleans better, so I breakout less and have smaller clogged pores. This one emulsifies once water is added, and rinses off very cleanly. I also use tretinoin a few times a week, which makes my skin peel and more sensitive, but this product does not irritate my skin or burn at all. My skin would get so irritated trying to scrub layers of makeup off, then there would be makeup smudges on my towel after washing, and I’d always wake up with makeup bits in my eyes. A little bit of this product goes a long way, so I’m sure this bottle will last a long time. Also, I don’t have to spend so much time washing my face until my cheeks are red, only to have makeup left behind. This is a great product that I’d recommend to anyone.

Amazing Oil Cleanser For Sensitive Skin!
Hadalabo Gokujun Cleansing Oil Is literally the best cleansing oil I’ve ever used. I’m super picky when it comes to my skincare products and skin. I used Dermalogica Cleansing Oil for years, it’s amazing but it’s also absurdly expensive. So, I decided to look for another brand that wouldn’t cause breakouts or skin irritation and remove all of my makeup and save some money. I have everything I was looking for in this cleansing oil! I have been using it for about a year now and I will never use anything else! It easily removes waterproof mascara without having to scrub, every bit of sweat resistant foundation and I found it will even remove waterproof/sweat proof Dermablend body makeup. When using this product, remember this is a cleanser to break down and remove makeup, dirt, pollution and exposure to things like hair products or whatever May land on your face during the day. IT IS NOT MEANT TO BE USED AS YOUR ONLY CLEANSING PRODUCT! You need to use a gentle facial cleanser after you use the oil. If you use this as your only cleanser, yes, your face will break out. However, as long as you use it as intended, as one of your cleansing steps and not the only step you take, you will have clean, hydrated skin and a flawless complexion! Happy shopping!

Cleansing Oil for Tretinoin
I’m on tretinoin and found this through a random Reddit thread (as one does), and so far I’m actually really liking it. It’s super gentle and not drying at all, which is huge when your skin is already mad from tret. It doesn’t foam, which I don’t love because it’s not as satisfying to use, and I also don’t feel like it really removes makeup. For me this is more of a soft first step on a clean face, like to wake my skin up in the morning rather than a full cleanse. That said, it feels like it helps keep my skin barrier calm, and I don’t get that tight stripped feeling after. I always follow it with a barrier serum because on its own it’s not quite enough, but together they work really well. So far, so good. It fits into my tret routine perfectly and I’m happy to keep using it alongside my other products.

amazing!
I used to wipe my makeup off with Ponds makeup removing wipes but I hated tugging and pulling at my skin to wipe it all off. So I started looking into oil cleansers that were gentle and required no harsh rubbing. I was debating between Hada Labo and DHC to more expensive oils like the Shu Uemura, Bobbi Brown, and Dior ones. But ultimately I decided to go for the cheapest option because, hey, I've never used an oil cleanser before. Why bother going all out if it turns out I won't like it? Well, I'm pretty sold on this one. I can't compare it to the other oils because I haven't used them but I really see no reason that I'll even have to try them. This oil is super gentle, the emulsification process is always fun to feel/watch, and it really absolutely does remove ALL traces of makeup. I wear full face make up every day, from primer, BB cream, 2 concealers, setting powder, all waterproof eye makeup, and lips too. One and a half pumps of this oil and it all melts away. One pump technically can cover my whole face, but one and half is perfect enough that there's extra oil to get parts I might have missed. Like all the other reviews have said, wash your hands, then apply the oil to CLEAN AND DRY hands, then put it on your DRY face and gently take off all your makeup. Any little bit of water and the oil will emulsify and be virtually useless. A few downsides I've noticed are that if I only cleanse with this, my face feels pretty dry afterwards, I always do the double cleanse method where I remove my makeup with this first, then cleanse again with Hada Labo's AHA/BHA cleanser. Another downside and this is probably my own lack of skill, is that I'm a little bit temporarily blind after I use this because the oil gets into my eyes. It's not irritating and it doesn't burn or anything, I just can't see. But if you're careful enough (unlike me) you can probably avoid that.

My Ride or Die
I’ve been using this product for years now and here’s my review. Before this I tried other cleansing oils Korean and American brands and I tried using cleansing balms and they all made me break out because they were either too harsh for my skin or too greasy. I have acne prone and very sensitive and very oily skin so using a wipe burns my skin and cleansing oils were my best bet. This is the best cleansing oils I have ever tried it is seriously underrated. It glides on smoothly, has no fragrance which is perfect because my sensitive skin can’t handle any fragrance, there’s no burning feeling, it’s not stripping at all and it’s not greasy at all literally is my ride or die in my regimen. My skin is mostly clear now (wasn’t always clear I used to have cystic acne) some rare nights when I don’t double cleanse I notice an immediate difference in my skin and I can feel it too. When I don’t use this for even one night my pores on my face start getting texture and feels clogged too the touch but once I use this again my skin feels smooth and remains smooth as long as I keep using it. It’s kind of pricey but it’s my ride or die I would give up everything else in my skincare regimen just for this. If you have acne prone, oily and most importantly sensitive skin to the point where 90% of products burn on your face then this is for you because of its gentle and effective formula. Update- ordered again and for the first time ever I received a fake. The fake had slightly different packaging and it smelled like cooking oil. The actual product has almost no smell with a very very light whiff of clean but definitely does not smell like cooking oil. Returned this one and I’ll order another one hopefully from a different distributor. Second Update-returned the last one with no issue. Ordered another bottle from a different seller and the product is normal. No cooking oil smell and the texture is normal. It was just that previous fake but now I got the real one.

If only this oil could remove hidden charges on bills!
This stuff! One pump, rub it between my hands to warm it up, and gently apply it to my face like an iron press and I can ALREADY see my makeup melting off. It is crazy how effective this is! I have cleansed with oils before when I used the oil cleansing method years ago so it felt rather good to return back to those days. The oil doesn't have a fragrance and seems to utilize olive oil as its main ingredient/what it is based off of and it definitely matches the consistency of olive oil, albeit, a tad lighter in viscosity. Watching my eyeliner melt right off my eyes is pretty awesome, but the real magic comes when I close my eyes and literally feel my mascara crust off my lashes and dissolve against the gentle rubbing of my fingertips. Mascara is notoriously difficult for a lot of makeup removers, especially of the wet kind, out there to handle so to rid it so easily is refreshing. Liquid lipsticks I love to wear melt right off my face with the most this cleanser allows them is a slight tinge and I mean SLIGHT. Can't comment on lip stains, that is not my alley, but seriously, this cleanser just melts EVERYTHING away. Back in my ocm days, I'd then have to remove the oil successfully with repeated rinsing and a hot towel or even a cream cleanser like ponds and feel if I had any makeup-oil laden residue left on my face. Not with this. As soon as water even TOUCHES this "oil," it emulsifies and turns milky white! The drops of the now water-oil in the sink clearly hold my makeup and as my face frees itself of this now milky mix, it is clear ALL of my makeup is G-O-N-E. Even after, I may test the cleanliness of my skin by wiping a part of my face with some tissue and expect some brown foundation residue like back in my days of using makeup wipes. The tissue stays pristine white. Absolute magic. <3

Works for oily skin!
EDIT: I hadn’t broken out in almost a year and mysteriously all of a sudden I got a cystic pimple??? I just started using multiple new products at once including this one but PROCEED W CAUTION. I’m shelving this for the time being :( :( :( I was really hesitant to try oil cleansing, the internet was pressuring me into it and shaming me for using makeup wipes, but I am acne prone so putting oil on my face feels like a death wish. I finally caved into the bullying and bought this one due to Dr Drays endorsement and the low price, as well as hearing it has jojoba which is great for KP on the cheeks. Well, it’s mostly olive oil actually not as much jojoba, which olive isn’t the most acne friendly oil. But somehow some way this is not breaking me out. I immediately wash it off w a real cleanser and no problems at all, it really does take off sun screen, makeup, and even oil paint on my arms (I’m an artist lol). However, the argument against makeup wipes is that you have to rub your face w them causing wrinkles….well you have to rub your face w this too!! Hypocrites. Especially if you use a cotton round, what the hells the difference. I know they say this breaks residue down more effectively chemically, rather than relying on manual force only, but I’m pretty sure makeup wipes have liquidy stuff on them to chemically break down residue too >_> tbh it’s probably just hype, getting us to buy more stuff. SORRY FOR THE RANT. I am not going back to makeup wipes tho, simply because I don’t know what ingredients are in them and it’s probably not great, and I do enjoy using this stuff, and since I use just my fingers and no cotton round, it’s less wasteful and more cost effective (I do have reusable rounds but fingers is easiest). I’m living on a prayer that everyone’s new claim “like dissolves like” (implying oil cleansing will remove oil from your pores more effectively) works out in practice. Only complaint is the bottle jets out the oil across the room if you’re not ready to catch it lmao. Also if it makes anyone feel better, the product is clear not yellow, it’s just a yellow bottle. I also wish there was some English translation on the bottle but whatever I guess. Overall I do recommend this for the price, even for acne prone skin. Just cleanse after. Last tip, start w no water, try to break down all the gunk on your skin BEFORE introducing any water to hands or face. Once water hits this stuff it’s no longer cleansing and instead starts disappearing.

Works well.
I had never oil cleansed before so I wanted to try a reputable one that wasn't crazy expensive. It works really well at removing makeup (I definitely don't use this daily, my normal cleanser removes sunscreen well enough). I was nervous because it's olive oil based, but I didn't break out at all. Use on a dry face and dry hands, massage for 30-60 seconds, add a little bit of water and massage again for 30 seconds, then rinse off. Eye makeup is more troubling to remove though, so I use an eye makeup remover after to make sure it's completely off. I really like it. Have yet to buy a refill, which would ship faster than the actual whole product. I think it's good and a trusted brand, but there are cheaper options out there (if you don't have sensitive skin I suppose).

Soo good!
Do not use for massage. Do not stop with washing your face after using this with water alone. Double cleanse, people! Always use a mild cleanser after using this to remove makeup/sunscreen, eventhough your face might feel squeaky clean after. Works a lot better than any micellar water. Smells a little coconut-y to me (I know it has olive oil in it). 200ml of really light oil (less viscous than Extra Virgin Olive oil and more similar to a mineral oil). It is so satisfying to see all the gunk on your skin dissolving (including kohl!) and turn milky when a little water is added. I tested with some makeup remover micellar soln and there was no trace of foundation on the cotton pad after. It(and other Hada Labo products with pump) also has this handy little plastic vice to stop the pump action and thus prevent spillage during travelling! Only drawback is it costs MORE than double its original affordable US price( it costs about 450INR {688 yen} in Japan)!!! 😣 Edit: will update with condition of skin after a few months of use.
