HOUNDSBAY Cedar Shoe Tree - Shoe Trees for Men & Women, Sneakers, Widener & Shaper

This is my first pair of shoe trees. I have a pair of US Men's size 7.5D Allen Edmonds Park Avenue Dress Boots. These size "Small" trees fit perfectly, and might fit a size 8 Allen Edmonds shoe as well. The spring is pretty well compressed in my 7.5, so fitting anything smaller than a 7.5 Allen Edmonds may be difficult. Allen Edmonds sizes their shoes more accurately than others, I wear a size 9 sneaker in most brands, but 7.5 in AE. Other dress shoes might be sized more like sneakers, YMMV. I would describe the construction of these as "as expected." The cedar is nicely shaped and the surface is smooth. The spring seems adequate for the task and they smell great. If these ever wear out, I will most likely buy another Houndsbay set because I'll know what size to get and the quality seems good.

Smells wonderful, very smooth surface so it slips easily into shoe or boot. I haven't had them long enough to tell if they will prevent creases from happening but I suspect it will make the shoe/boot look less shoddy over time.

I’ve purchased these about 4x adding a couple pairs each time to preserve my shoes. They are an excellent option if you care about keep you shoes in great shape! The small fits perfectly for my women’s size 9 - boots, loafers, sneakers, etc.

These are cedar wood with a jam mechanism, just place it into the shoe and it spreads the toe open. To remove, pull up from the heel. I am using them on a pair of ankle high boots so I placed them inside and will check in a day or two. They smell lovely as well. They are packaged well and the company says they donate a portion of their profits toward planting new trees. I think the price is reasonable also since I got a pair whereas others, which are made of plastic, only supply one for about the same price. Update: they did work in my shoes and boots but they did not get rid of creased areas which can be troublesome in pinching my feet but they did widen them. My advice it to use them right away on new shoes before they get shaped to your foot and broken in. Update: I left the trees in for a few days and they did indeed get rid of the creasing and widen the shoes. They feel much better!

Really happy with these cedar shoe trees. The wood feels solid and has that nice natural cedar smell, which helps keep shoes fresh. They slide in easily and expand just enough to hold the shape without putting too much pressure on the shoe. I’ve been using them in both my dress shoes and sneakers, and they’ve helped prevent creases and keep everything looking better between wears. The spring mechanism feels sturdy and well made. Simple product, but it works exactly as expected. I’ll probably pick up another pair soon.

These look cool, smell & feel nice and they fit perfectly in to my footwear. I am a UK size 9 and I went for a size Large.

The correct size was supplied for my shoe size but there is no tension on the spring once inserted. It just slops around, the toe split provides no resistance to the spring and the heel moves around and there is no support for the vamp because no tension is made. The issue is because a slightly wide fitting shoe allows the toe split to be loose. A larger size would not be any better as the design of the product is flawed and probably only suitable for very narrow fitting shoes.

Great quality shoe tree with real cedar wood. Did a lot of research before buying them. Quality is great. Very happy with the product. This shoe tree, crafted from genuine cedar wood, is of excellent quality. I conducted extensive research prior to purchase and am very satisfied with the product.
