High Quality Thermostat
Tested sat out of the box for once, I've tried a lot of thermostat brands (even Napa) and they are very hit or miss these days. Quality control since the pandemic has been atrociously worse.Aisin however has remained top notch. Opens right at the advertised temp and opens linearly until maximum opening, and reliably opens and closes effectively. Works well. Don't forget a thermostat gasket if you need one (but don't add one if you don't!)

After a snafu with the original order, a replacement was promptly sent to me. The thermostat is what the OEM uses, so I expect many, many years of service out of this.

As Good as the Original
This thermostat functions just as well as the original from Toyota. Since Aisin is an OEM supplier, this may be the exact same part. It fits perfectly in the 1MZ-FE engine in my 1999 Camry. Doesn't come with the gasket, but the gasket is cheap and readily available. Just make sure the "jiggle" valve is on top when your install it.

Sienna finally reaches operating temp in winter!
Installed on 2013 Toyota Sienna. It wasn't reaching operating temperature in the winter, but does now after replacing with this thermostat. Quality appears to be OEM (Aisin). Pay attention to the position of the little "jiggle valve" when installing. The gasket is sold separately but should probably be replaced at the same time.

A Great alternative to oem
"What such high quality at an affordable price! It's the same quality as OEM, but at a lower price. Please do not buy the cheap, unbranded ones just to save a few dollars; think about the long term instead. Paying only 10-15 dollars for a high-quality one is far better than buying a cheap one that won't last long. The only con I noticed is the exclusion of the gasket; you need to buy it separately."

All mechanics are not bad . Just do some checking before you ok the work !
This took care of my cooling issues,over heating over flowing and stalling. Went to a name brand shop for repairs and they could not find out why it was over heating after $635.00! Was then told to bring it back after diving it for a while to clear any thing in the cooling system. The thermostat had been gutted so the water could circulate I went and replaced the stat myself with this one and no more cooling issues! 2004 Toyota Matrix XRS.

Aisin or nothing
Delivered on time and is to OE standard for those of you who don’t know, Aisin, is the OE manufacturer for Toyota when it comes to water pumps and thermostats.Great quality. Gasket needs to be purchased separately. I would recommend Aisin above Gates, etc when it comes to this particular part. Also, if you’re changing the water pump you might as well change the thermostat as well so you don’t have to refill the coolant twice.
