Dorman 741-489 Front Passenger Side Power Window Regulator and Motor Assembly Compatible with Select BMW Models

Was exactly what I need to fix my car at a affordable rate

My Mechanic was not thrilled with the Dorman name but he did agree Dorman makes a lot of door related products. This was the only non OEM window regulator I could find. I didn't know if my cable was just broken and not the motor but at this cost I got both replaced. I have replaced all 4 window regulators on our BMW at different times. Two times we were on vacation and had to patch up the window's with cardboard to get home. If your BMW is about 8+ years and 1 of your 2 or 2 of your 4 windows are dropping then I suggest just replacing all the windows at the same time. It will save you aggravation when you least need it.

The quality of the lift is close to the OEM with the exception of the motor. The window, moves approximately 40% slower than with the old, 120k mile worn OEM motor. Thats after lubricating it and adjusting it. I'm hoping it speeds up as the plastic track guides wear in a little.

This Dorman regulator did fit my BMW X5 as advertised, however the motor with this regulator struggled to put my window up. I promptly pulled it and returned it.

Not good quality. Motor went out after 5 months. Company doesn't stand by their products.

The fitment of this part was perfect. All the electrical connections were perfect very happy with this purchase and will purchase from dorman again!
