Preppy Platinum Fountain Pen, 0.2 mm Black PSQ-400#1

Great pen

Very fine pen. Purchased it to use with Platinum carbon ink..compared with my Brustro 0.05 fine liner... It is a little thicker than 0.05 fineliner, but it serves my purpose..Reverse of EF is extremely fine , but very scratchy...can use it for very fine lines.. Pen is very very light even with the cap posted.. I haven't tried kanwrite EEF nib so can't compare with it

Bought an extra fine preppy. It's very light weight, keep that in mind. If you have used some fountain pen with metallic body, and like it that way, this one will not work for you. The plastic material of the barrel also feels cheap and looks like it will break into pieces with one good fall. I've added the photo of a news I copied using preppy. You can see that the ink is clear with no smudge. Writing part seems good, and for this rate, getting an extra fine nib fountain pen from another reputed brand is going to be difficult (I've searched a lot).

The nib is really small so not recomended for smallhandwriting but really suitble for microscopic handwriting like mine...the flow and feedbak is really nice though it tooksome time to get a grip of this pen as thhe grip wasabit thicker then anypen i usually use...after using up the cartridgeyou can convert the pen into a eyedropper pen like i did with mine... And no you dont need ano ring i have been using onlysilicone greese for the past 6monthsand i saw 0 leakage the pen also looks really pretty but the plasticmight break if it falls in hard surface so needto be careful...mine fell once but luckily nothing happend soits definately not delicate but slill be carefull

I bought this pen for the first time and i m very happy with it..people who use hero, jinhao and bauer make fountain pens should try it..they'll love it! I bought EF (02) black and it is really a fine writer. The smoothness is almost at par with a good used old hero pen. And the best part- well you open the cap and just start..the nib does not dry!

Was looking for 0.2 nib. Finally got it. Smooth writing. But as all ink pens the nib needs cleaning once a week to clean the residue for a smooth writing.

Very inconsistent. My first (black 02) Preppy was exceptional (got that from flipkart, but they have limited choices and bad replacement policy). I loved it - still have it, though the cap broke. I went on a rampage and purchased a red, blue and couple more black (this is one of them), all 02. All the four pens are very scratchy and too thin! Tried exchanging some of them, but replacements were as bad. Maybe I shold have gone for the 03? Maybe I was lucky only with the first one? Maybe the vendors that sent me the recent ones were bad (most of them did not have the plastic cover)

Produkt japoński. Doskonale bardzo cienko piszące pióro w świetnej cenie. Jednak pakowanie to porażka! Wrzucone luzem bez żadnego zabezpieczenia do dużej kartonowej koperty. I jeszcze doliczono opłatę za pakowanie. To jakaś kpina

I got the pen and it wouldn't properly take the ink, it needs a lot of shaking before I can write a few pages. The pen fills up with ink. It's a cheap pen for a reason and you might as well invest in a better brand. I can't even return it.

Love these pens!! Super super affordable and write so well and hold ink forever, especially once made into a dropper!! Awesome fountain pens to have for everyday stuff or o give to a friend that is thinking about getting into using fountain pens. Even though theyre plastic, they are solid! So easy to use, comfortable grip and lightweight. They special lid keeps the tip extra sealed up so it doesn't dry out like others. So they just work when you need them to work, without a hassle. Great pens!!

Hace un tiempo vi una comparativa entre plumas de 'entrada' o escolares. Me pareciò una majaderìa porque dos de ellas eran una Platinum Preppy 3 y una Pilot Kakuno F. Majaderìa porque si la Kakuno es simplemente màgica, la Preppy es maravillosa. Decìan que la Preppy 3 (F) escribe muy bien pero que la 2 (EF) no tanto... No es cierto. La Preppy 3 es muy muy agradable, pero yo ya tenìa desde tiempo atràs la Preppy 2 (EF). Como las japonesas en general, el trazo es siempre un grado màs fino que las occidentales: la Peppy 2 es espectacular, y ademàs ligerìsima y muy econòmica. Regalada para lo que da. Lleva añadido el sistema de cierre de Platinum por el que no se seca la tinta en el plumìn en meses: màs que una estilogràfica es un estilògrafo. Un instrumento profesional de dibujo ¡Por menos de 10 euros! con una durabilidad enorme. No tiene un pero. Mi colecciòn de plumas -que uso- van desde la Preppy 2 a una Namiki-Pilot Yukari, pasando por pelikanes, montblancs, sheafer... Pero a mi lado siempre tengo una Preppy 2 y una Kakuno F, dos plumas verdaderamente para profesionales y conocedores...
