I tried other hangers before I finally paid the little bit extra for these and I am so glad I did. They hold my pants and skirts well and are wide enough to hold them nicely. They look lovely on the rack and they smell great. The cedar smell is subtle and pleasant. I love that they are hardwood. It is also pleasant to touch every time I pull out and put away my pants.. Actually, I find that I actually hang my pants up more now rather than postponing the job and leaving them laying around the bedroom as I would tend to do with other metal hangers. these are great trouser hangers. quality seems good and I had forgotten that they were aromatic cedar! helps your closet remain fresh. and I had to chuckle; a reviewer had complained that the wood edges could snag on sheer clothing - a riduculous complaint in my opinion. but within the well-packaged product I received was a piece of sandpaper; I suppose should some other customer feel there might be a problem.
