Browne 2 qt Stainless Steel Bain Marie Pot

This pot fits quite well in my Kuhn Rikon 4200 12-Cup 4th Burner Pot . I'm using the two as a double boiler to heat milk for yogurt making. The BMP2 bain marie pot is tall enough to fit the Kuhn Rikon pot, and there's enough space to have water surround 1 quart of milk. I'd probably want a larger outer pot if I were making 2 quarts of milk. The BMP2 makes it very easy to heat the milk to temperature without burning it, then the stainless steel cools down quickly when put into a pot of cool water. Instead of waiting 45 minutes for my milk to get cool enough to add yogurt starter, it takes 10-15 minutes in a water bath.

I am using these for an idea I got off of Houzz for a kitchen pullout with these set in and used for all my tall things like wooden spoons, spatulas and things like that. We are in the final stages of remodeling and the kitchen cabinets are sort of in, just waiting for final install. They look like they are going to work out perfectly.

The stated size is totally incorrect. This is the actual size: 5 5/8" including flange, 4 5/8" wide on the bottom, and 7" deep! Quality is excellent. But I needed the correct size. I'm thinking of ordering the 1.25 qt model--but do not trust the measurements.

Nicely made, good stainless steel material, feels very right. Purchased to be used as a caddy utensil holder. I'm a happy camper.

Good quality and the perfect size. Like another reviewer I am using them for my tall utensils and can fit six in a large drawer. Wasn't sure which size I would need and this is the one! Can't wait for the cabinets to be finished!!!

Rusted upon arrival...what does "stainless" mean folks?

A large Kunz spoon will barely clear the top of this bain, making it slightly too tall to use as a spoon bain. However, it works nicely as a bain for say a ladle, or a large spatula.
