Logitech Speaker System Z323 with Subwoofer

I am...amazed. Flatly amazed. These speakers take up so little room on my desk, yet they put out such a big sound. When I first opened the shipping box I was thinking "This box is much too light to be this big.". Then when I got the shipping box open and found the product box inside and it was less than half the size of the shipping box I was stunned. It was almost tiny. The two speakers are about "normal" size for PC speakers. It's the subwoofer that's the surprising bit. It's approx 6 inches tall and 6 inches deep and 4 inches wide. And it hardly weighs much of anything. But it feels solid. Knocking on the sides you can tell that there's no internal bracing. It sounds hollow. And there's not much to the weight of it, so you know that there's hardly any material to the box itself; meaning that the sides are probably fairly thin. Maybe a quarter inch. But since the power output is only about 20 watts for the sub, then the box doesn't need much mass. After a 2 week break-in period I sat down with various pieces of music to get an all round feel for the sound these speakers are capable of. Pushing the speakers at 3/4 volume (sub set at 4/9) with Bad Company's "Electric Land", the bass was solid without a trace of flabbiness. Though the speakers did sound a little strained at the high sound level. Backing off slightly makes all the difference in the world. The fact that the speakers are bi-polar makes them actually disappear in the sound stage. Though, because the speakers only contain "one" driver they can't give you "room filling sound". You can definitely tell that these are small speakers. Leaving the settings exactly the same, and testing with various genre (except rap and opera, because I can't stand rap or opera) reveals that this initial impression was good across the spectrum. For $50 these PC speakers are spectacular performers. (PS: If they don't survive long or fail in some way before a years time, I'll come back and update this review.)

Shipping took a while and I almost cancelled the order, but I'm glad I didn't. This is an older system and I'm not sure they still make it, but well worth the cost. I previously bought a more expensive system and returned it because of the tinny sound and lack of base. This system is head & shoulders above that system in sound and value. It was received new in original packaging and well protected in a shipping box. Recommended!!

This thing is a workhorse. I’ve had it for seven years and have had no problems. It’s a good all-around speaker system and does a decent job with audio, although I’m not an audiophile. It has gotten me through multiple moves from my house and still keeps chugging. I wouldn’t give it five stars because it’s not the best system you can buy, but if you need a cheap setup that will last a long time, this is a good deal.

* Note: I completely turned off the audiophile parts of my personality for this review. It took less than 10 minutes to hook up and start playing my favorite music, and, MAN! IT SOUNDS GOOD!!! These are great little speakers for my Computer. I have nice speakers on a nice stereo, but wanted something for desktop audio for browsing facebook, watching youtube, playing games. These look they will do the job just fine. Pros: -they are completely quite when they're not being used. There is no hum, buzz, static, high pitched whine, or other noises coming from these when no audio is playing. -The are easy to install. -They sound good -Each piece is relatively small, taking up little of my desktop real estate; the subwoofer is also small, fitting easily on the floor. -There is a separate volume control on the sub-woofer for bass. -On the Right speaker there is an easy to use physical rotating knob for the main volume. There is a clear "CLICK" when turned fully counter-clockwise and turned off. there are no controls on the left speaker. -When turned ON there is a easy to see, but non-intrusive yellow LED on the right speaker, directly above the volume/ power control. -Everything is included that you need to use these speakers. -Straight-forward, Old-School operation: no WiFi nor Bluetooth connectivity. Only 3.5mm audio plug OR RCA (white and red) inputs. -This will work as easily as speakers for a smart phone or tablet as for a desktop or laptop computer. Cons: -I have a standing desk, with my desktop computer to the LEFT of my monitors. The included cables were not long enough for this configuration. Since the Audio input is affixed to the RIGHT speaker, and it is only approx 5.5' long, it will not reach to the far left of my desk. I had to use a 6' extension cable for the 3.5mm audio cable. Note, that even for a 'normal' sitting desk, the audio cable will likely be too short for many people. Please consider purchasing an extension cable when you buy these speakers.

These were a gift to my mom to replace her old speakers that were breaking down. She loves them and with an equalizer, they sound amazing! The subwoofer gives that bass a good kick too!

Great sound for the money, and easy to assemble. I bought these to replace a smaller two speaker system which was shorting out and often stopped playing all together. The sound difference was amazing, granted I had to keep it down low since it was after 2 AM and my wife was sleeping in the other room. (can't sleep might as well do something, why not check out the new speakers that just arrived) I actually bought these to use in my classroom (school budgets do not allow for new speakers, so its out of my own pocket). Even though I will be using these in a room 6 times the size of my home office, I don't think it will be a problem, they sound way louder than the one's I have been using. I used to have a Harmon Kardon set of speakers with a powered base, but the cable shorted out and since it was a built in cable no way to replace. This setup has replaceable cables and was very easy to set up and if necessary the cable can be replaced. Its been my experience that most problems occur in the cables not the speakers themselves so this is a nice feature. I bought these as re-manufactured and honestly could not find anything wrong with them. They were bubble wrapped and snugly packed in a small box and showed no signs of damage from shipping. I don't know if a manual comes with a new unit, but it was so simple to setup that no directions were needed. I did check out a couple of you-tube videos and it was pretty straight forward. At first I got a clicking noise, but a quick check on the connectors and I found that just needed to seat the plug and the noise went away. Great Price, wish I had gotten these years ago and saved a lot of frustration with the cheap speakers I was using.

Before I purchased these speakers, I poked around on the internet looking for reviews. I wasn't sure about buying these because of some bad reviews. I don't regret it at all. They are amazing speakers with great sound quality and it takes less than 15 minutes to set them up. With the bass control, you can adjust it to wherever you like, loud, soft, or even none. The sound quality is very great, but not the best. Don't get me wrong, they still sound great. But when you start listening to very fancy speakers at about $300-400 they get even better. I think that the people who are giving the bad reviews are people who have had very nice speakers. The Bose computer monitor speakers have better sound quality, but they are $400. These are fabulous speakers. And for the price, you can't go wrong. So these speakers are pretty amazing. The sound quality is great, they look nice, they are easy to set up, and are just super cool. If you are a real speaker freak and know all about the good, the bad, and the ugly, then you may not like these. But as a novice, I'd say these speakers are at about a 4.5/5 stars. The sound quality is amazing, but could be better. I can't complain about it though because with the price, you can't go wrong. If you are looking for some fairly cheap and nice speakers with good sound quality that look nice, then you can't go wrong with the Logitech Z323 Speakers. (By the way, I have only listened to music with these speakers so far. I haven't tried it on my TV or XBOX yet. But music sounds amazing.)

Logitech is by far my favorite company for peripherals. As such, I was excited to receive this. In my experience, mid budget gear like this by Logitech goes the distance. This item did not, however. As soon as I plugged everything up, I was met with a loud buzzing noise from every output. After some troubleshooting, I discovered it was due to the angle the wires are placed. Yes, me getting the correct sound depends on me basically having a ritual with the wires to get them to bend just right in the appropriate direction. Whats worst - normally I would just buy a new wire but its hardwired in so I cannot replace this without replacing the entire speaker system. I am extremely disappointed in this product for what I paid. I have gotten used to getting so much more with Logitech for paying less than I did here. The wires are just... bad. Even as I type this I've been having to constantly hit my desk to juggle the wires to stop the occasional buzz. The only reason this system gets an extra star at all from me on this review is that when it is not buzzing, with the wires all magically in place, the sound and bass is perfect. As of now, I am most likely going to look into a refund. When just typing on your keyboard sends enough vibrations across your desk to make your speakers buzz, there is a big problem. UPDATE: I received my replacement and none of the prior problems, or new ones, existed. Everything looks and sounds great. If this had been the first model I received, I would have likely given it a full 5 star rating. Like most Logitech gear, this is great equipment for the price paid. But, I cannot in good conscience do that because of the first mishap. Faulty models like that should not be able to make it out of the factory.

This set is an Ace in the hole. All around great sound for the price point. I have had Logitech speakers before and they lasted forever so to speak. I then replaced them with the Bose companion 2 series. That was a mistake. I like Bose but the PC speakers were painful to listen to. They lasted about 10 minutes with me and then ordered this set. Like I said for the price point you will not go wrong. Setup was a breeze. The LED light on the front of the speaker is not bright enough to bother you when you are in a dark setting, like watching a movie for example. My only little gripe would be to have a slightly more prominent volume nub so that you can feel roughly at what level the speaker is on at. But a very good set for your desktop. The headphone jack on the side of the right speaker is great for the do not disturb moments and aux outlet is also nice if you want to hear tunes straight from your MP3 player or phone. Good job Logitech!

Previously I purchased the LS21 set from Logitech. It worked well for the price. Since then, I got a puppy who decided to chew the wires...hah So I was faced with a decision, purchase the same set or upgrade. I decided to upgrade, and boy was I not disappointed! The LS21 has nothing on this set hah I barely reached the halfway mark on the volume control of the Z323 set and my floors are moving! So is the furniture! I currently have the bass level at the dot right before the middle of the control. And it sounds so great :) I'm so very glad I bought these. It was certainly worth the little extra (especially when these are on sale!) So far zero distortion (that I can hear) The only issue I had was the first set Amazon sent me was a previous return by another customer. I called and they apologized and sent me out a new set that arrived the next day. So impressed, thank you Amazon.

Overall it was a great speaker set for the price. Haven't maxed out the subwoofer yet, but it's already sufficient for me at less than 50% (around 30% for me), so it should be fine. The only complaints I have are the auxiliary input and the headphone input. They're both very stiff and hard to insert into, and more importantly, if you plug in headphones, the audio is unbalanced at lower volumes (at low volumes, the left channel is either softer than the right channel or is completely muted). While this isn't a dealbreaker as it does its main function well, it is a bit of a let down as it provides a less than enjoyable experience when trying to use them in privacy (e.g. trying not to disturb others with your gaming). Probably not gonna send them back for simply that reason, it's not too important.

Great entry level speakers for a great price. Sturdy, I've accidentally yanked these off my computer desk multiple times and they are still in perfectly working condition. Sound quality is great, I'm more of a headphones user myself when watching tv/movies, playing games but sometimes you just need to blast some music. They are pretty loud, definitely enough if you live in an apartment. Subwoofer is okay, enough bass for small parties. I definitely recommend these.

Oh my! I was very surprised how loud this thing is! I agree with some reviewer that mentioned insufficient high frequency but i use the integrated EQ from my sound card and it's not that bad. But tons of value for the price. Looks and feel very solid and comes with long cables. All in all a good choice at a budget price.
