Excellent translation of MT's master craft. Good one for people who love kerala but can't read Malayalam.

Being a great fan of M T , this book is one of my favourite books of his and it is of good quality and the book in itself explores complex human relationships and has the touch of magic than only M T can offer.If you are a fan of classic Malayalam literature then don’t miss out on this gem

The complexities of family relationships and individual survival are beautifully described in this novel.

This is definitely a must read classic. Every malayali has encountered the name MT at some point. This is a good introduction to MT's literature. I do have a bias being a malayali, so know the nuances translator is going for. I do not know it it translates and works the same way for someone not familiar with the original language or culture. Some of the cultural aspects might be confusing to someone new.
