Has anyone used this product when using contact lenses?

I've not used them whilst using contacts but when I've used them at night I find they to not cut out the glare. In bad weather and rain I found they got worse. I'm still looking for the perfect night driving glasses. They are built well but I don't feel they suit me.

Do these cut down the effect of sunlight strobing from the side?

I've been recommending these glasses to all my friends. Brilliant at night. Stops the glare from all these newer bright headlights cars have now. Yes they are also good against bright sunlight from the side as well as the front.

can you wear these during daylight?

Yes, absolutely. While the darker Category 3 lenses are more suitable for brighter sunlight, these lighter Category 1 lenses are especially helpful for enhancing clarity and definition on overcast days. Hope that helps :)

are these actually polarise lenses as they do not seem to filter light in a similar way to my other polarised sunglass lenses. i.e. darken when rotate

Yes, I can assure you that they are polarised. These industry standard Category 1 lenses do not darken as much as Category 2-4 lenses so that they reduce glare without compromising on visibility in order to be safe for night driving. Hold the glasses in front of a computer screen (while it is on). Now rotate them 60 degrees. The lenses will darken. This verifies polarisation because light travels in one plane through polarised lenses. Non-polarised lenses would not darken when rotated. I hope this helps.
