Scotch Essentials Adjustable Hem Tape, 24 Strips (W-106-A)

Great value and great adhesion - but know that if you plan to cut these strips into shorter pieces, pulling the backing off can be a challenge. The adhesion is so good on these, using a full strip at a time isn't necessary to keep your pants securely hemmed. If the backing were split lengthwise instead of crosswise, these would be perfect and you could easily cut them into two or more pieces and easily pull the backing off all pieces. Instead, only the piece that has the crosswise separation on it will be easy to pull off while you'll most likely struggle to pull it off the others. Still, if you need to hem a pair of pants, these are great. I use them on linen slacks and once I ensure that the tape is secured, I've never had the tape fail.

The hem on my dress pants kept coming undone and I was so sick of bringing them to the tailor. I searched for solutions and decided on these scotch brand tapes and they works great! No fuss and no ridiculous price of a tailor. They give you so many in this box that it can work on multiple pairs. There has been no damage to the pants themselves. Easy to put on and easy to take off.

Works great. Easy to use. Stays in place. The product says to remove before washing but I left mine in place and the adhesive is still good after several washings

I've used this for many years- then covid hit & I found myself needing my old friend when my husband was ordering bandana masks that actually have a pocket for a filter- but he found out quickly the filter wasnt staying in place. I was had sticking/tacking down the filters so they wouldn't move but that because a big pain because my husband needed his filter changed every day he worked (6 days a week). So I ordered these & they worked fairly well to hold the filter in place. Now my husband realizes the bandana-- even with a filter--- IMO is not protective enough as a mask that has 3 layers and a built in place for a filter that doesnt move & I dont have to tack the filter down. What I love is i have the rest of the box for my own selfish needs of moving a hemline on pants, shorts etc and whatever other trouble I can get myself into. lol. great product as always!! xo Pam, still Kelli's mom

I purchased these to hem bell bottoms which I don't recommend. But..for straight leg pants I believe these would work very well.They have great sticking power and I expect I'll try them on other pants in the future.

Love this hem tape. I do not use it to 'hem' but to keep things in place- dresses and tops from gapping or closing up the back of a slightly too high cut dress or skirt slit. I also use this to keep my bra in pace with more formal attire(strapless or one shoulder dresses). It has a long hold, but also removed without damaging clothing. I keep this in my suitcase and always have a few strips in my desk at work. I have been able to save several co-workers in the case of a popped button or slightly unraveled hem. You won't know you need it until you do! Great item to have on hand!

I can’t sew a lick other than reattaching buttons so I love this find. I use the strips mostly for hemming my jeans and other slacks and they work perfectly. They are impermanent so you can move them if you make a mistake with the measurements but they don’t come off in the wash. Note: I wash only in cold water and hang to dry so I don’t know if this makes a difference but they’ve stayed on for me. It is a bit tricky removing the backing and I wish there was a split in the middle of the strip or a bit of an overhang on the ends to make it easier to remove but it’s not enough of an issue to lower my rating.

This works temporarily. Was kind of difficult to apply. Wish it stuck on longer than it did.

Rubbish, came straight off.

Great product! Does not wear out the clothes, stay put entire days until garment needs to be washed. Will definitely buy again - gives me the option to wear my pants with my heels or my flats.

Love the product makes my life easier since I don’t own a sewing machine or iron

Easy to use .holds firm

The installation seems easy but is actually quite cumbersome to do. Since hems require precise measurement of length and the fabric can easily cinch when gluing on. So it took several attempts and wasted srips to get an effect that is ok for mens pants hem. The good part is these are not permanent so can be easily removed.
