Great quality, works great, easy to install, doesn’t leak, unrestricted flow when open, shuts off completely when closed.

Like other reviewers, I got this to stop a leaking shower. It's a substantial leak—several gallons an hour—and this wonderful valve stopped it completely. It took less than a minute to install. I'm delighted. It's solid stainless steel and very well made. I bought an extra just in case, but I don't expect to need it. Unlike other reviewers, I see this as a permanent fix, not just a stopgap until I can pay a plumber several hundred dollars to do what this does for less than 20. The lever is reassuringly stiff but easy enough to move. In the open position the valve doesn't restrict water flow at all, but closed it doesn't let one drop through. Perfect in every way.

Pleased with this so far. I use it on my shower head to reduce the flow during a shower without having to fuss with the temperature. My olde unit was a slide valve which quickly clogged with calcium building up and needed to be cleaned with a vinegar soak. Annoying. The ball valve in this seems to resist that buildup well and has worked well. Very pleased. Helps reduce the volume of water I use during a shower reducing both my water bill and my power bill. Makes it easy to respond to water use restrictions during droughts too.

While the valve allows a trickle to prevent the hot water from back-flowing into the cold water line, that still happens to a degree when you set the valve to minimum flow. This means that when you reopen the valve, the water will initially be hotter than before you closed it. A bit of care is needed to avoid discomfort or worse.

The showerhead shut-off valve is well-made. Unfortunately, the rubber washer supplied is too large. I bought new 1/2" showerhead rubber washers. I connected the shut-off valve to the shower arm mount with the 1/2" rubber washer and pipe thread sealant to create a nice seal. Never use Teflon tape on plastic male threads. Overall, a great shut off valve. I highly recommend.

While I know some put these valves at the point where the piping leaves the wall, I use it as a handle and flow on/off switch for my handheld shower sprayer. Now I don't have water running and splashing over everything and if I get interrupted with a phone call or a cat, I can shut off the water with the same hand that is using the sprayer. It is well-made, doesn't leak, easy to install with a great sealed fit, and doesn't decrease the water pressure when opened.

I live in drought stricken Texas. I live off of rain water. Saving water is a must. This valve gives me the perfect way to easily shut off a shower without having to mess with the dual hot/cold handles. The water shuts off immediately without a water hammer (important) and comes back on at the same temperature I was using. I bought a second one for my other shower. Whether you have water availability problems or not, conserving fresh water should be everyone's goal. Buy this valve!

What can you say about a flow valve regulator? That this is simply the best stainless steel shut off valve for under 20$, I own four on the showers with daily use for water conservation.. SAVES A TON OF WATER.. lowers my bill and never clogs on my water softener salt.. great piece of hardware.. make sure you get the Made in Japan mode, the stainless steel is impressive, and action always smooth, for a shut off valve!! 😎😎

Added it just before the shower head (which is on a long hose). Since my shower does not have adjustable flow control, this little gem did the trick. No leaks. Smooth action on the ball valve. Now I can control the flow when I'm bathing my dog or quickly turn it off while shampooing.

Great solution for old hot and cold shower taps that’s impossible to completely shut off. Helps with getting the perfect shower temp as well. Really good quality too.
