Great
Bought for my husband to fit my new kitchen worktop very easy to use and very well made. It made cutting the joints so easy and tidy a quality tool looks sturdy for a power tool its not overly noisy excellent depth adjustment and smooth plunge action. If you after a quality tool it certainly fits the bill.

Ideal tool
Good machine. I used it to cut resin worktops and fire rated doors.

Excellent machine but...
I bought this a while and it has been excellent. Loads of power to it and handles really easily for it's size and weight. I've given it 4 stars though it's really 4 and a half. A couple of niggles which probably explain the constant reduction in price. Other than cutters, it doesn't seem to be compatible with a lot of the trend router range. It's possibly obsolete to them. It came with two useful size guide bushes but strangely not the the two countersunk screws needed to attach them. Stranger still is that the accessories inside the massive plastic case are held in with swish black, brand matching wingnuts...but no screws?! Puzzling. The guide bushes themselves are the larger 3" or so ones so uk bushes don't fit and you can't get the bigger ones anywhere it appears. I bought a trend mortice and tenon jig which also came with bushes but no screws and of course the bushes don't fit. I had to pay 16 squid for a trend unibase to adapt a trend router to trend accessories! It's niggling but not major thus a half star loss. As a half inch router it's a monster and the end guide thing, I forget it's name, is the reason for the oversize case. It is impressive and as trend prices go, there's probably 50 quid in that alone. If you want a well priced(especially for a quality make) wood eating 1/2" router then this is the one. Just be aware tho that it's very likely not compatible with other trend router accessories. It doesn't fit trend router tables for example. It is less than half the price of other trend routers that do tho. As a nice touch it has a 1/4" sleeve that fits into the 1/2" collet so it's nice and easy to swap between cutter gauges. It gets a bit of the half star back just for that now I mention it.

Highly recommended!
Router is an outstanding tool for any woodworking enthusiast. It feels solid and well-built, with excellent ergonomics that make long sessions comfortable and fatigue-free. The variable speed control is precise, giving me full confidence when working with different materials and bit sizes. Performance-wise, itโs smooth, accurate, and consistent, whether Iโm doing edge work, grooves, or intricate detailing. Dust extraction works well, keeping my workspace clean, and changing bits is simple and hassle-free. Overall, this router combines power, precision, and reliabilityโperfect for both hobbyists and professional woodworkers.

excellent piece of kit
A quality item. robust, accurate and powerful .Way better than its price suggests. Comes complete with guides and dust extraction adaptor. Have seen other reviews criticising this item- obviously forgetting the extremely low price . I used it to cot and shape worktops for which it was perfect. Thoroughly recommend it.

Best Router I've ever owned
Had cheaper Ryobi before, but bought this when it started playing up. In comparison this is a pleasure to use. Fine adjust is a godsend for precision. Holding position is perfect. Case is solid, spacious, and has straps to keep everything in. Only complaint is it's not router table compatible as it has no lock-on. You still can do it but you have to use a re-usable cable tie to hold the trigger. It's also not immediately compatible with Trend's own tables without some modification to the insert plate (Trend website says you can do it, but you'll have to do some drilling).

Excellent DIY tool
My first attempt at a masons mitre, I bought a UK made jig sometime ago, just needed a decent 1/2 inch router. I read many reviews of mid range routers and as a occasionally user, didn't want the expense of the preferred models of tradesmen. This trend router, although not the most expensive for this brand worked a treat, I did ensure I bought a 1/2 Inch trend straight cut router bit, because again after reading reviews of cheaper alternatives, it pays to spend on a decent product. In all an excellent tool for the diy market. Just ensure you read all the instructions, and if like me you wish to attempt a masons mitre watch some you tube videos, follow the instruction that come with your jig and you cant really go wrong.

The Perfect Router..........
The quality stands out from the second you open the case. The case its self is study, well designed and everything has a home inside it. The router it's is very powerful and feels lovely to control it. The speed control, depth lock and incremental depth gauge all work really well. Highly recommend this and I hope its a machine for life. Buy once, etc.........
