Textbook is too large, bulky and no questions. I love this book, it helped me to pass my physiology exam. My class mates want to order one too now that they have seen mine. This book is very good for medical school students who need to practice questions foe physiology. This is good questions that will show up on your class exams. The explanations are great. And the information that the book provides is good. My medical school didn't have enough textbooks for all the students so instead of ordering the suggested textbook, I ordered this Guyton review book so I can not only study from it but answer questions it's a 2-in -1. I love it. Some of my exam questions were in this book. The professor teaches fast but I can read this but and answer questions and learn an entire lecture area in no time. Must have companion to go with the book
This is a great secondary resource to go with the book. It gives thoughtful questions and explains the answers. Only complaint is not all the answers match the questions. Make sure to read the explanations because some of the "letter" choices are incorrect.

taking medical physiology in grad school and this book has been the sole reason I've aced my exams!!

Decent supplemental source but don't rely on it too much
This book is good for reviewing the concepts and it genuinely did help me learn. There's a few problems though with the overall quality. First off some answers contradict themselves and are wrong so I wouldn't solely rely on this book. It also includes some concepts not covered in the Guyton and Hall text as well. Lastly you may have to do some searching because the answers at the end of each chapter don't line up with the text. It appears that they didn't update everything from the previous version. But overall it did help me somewhat but these issues with quality can be very annoying at times.
