Review: Great keto recipes & inspiration but not for beginners - My 5-star review comes with one caveat: these recipes are “simple” if you’re already a pretty good cook in general and a good keto cook in particular. I have several of this author’s other cookbooks, and they are all chock-full of recipes that will convince you the keto diet is not solely bunless cheeseburgers and piles of bacon. (Not that there’d be anything wrong with that, hehheh.) There’s plenty of room for a wide array of colorful vegetables as main dishes or sides, and in salads. Just flipping through can give you some good ideas for flavor combinations to try or different kinds of seasonings to use if even if you don’t actually follow the recipes to the letter. I like that this book is mostly “real food” – savory things for meals, rather than half the book being keto desserts and snacks/finger foods. Being that this is not really for newbies (in my opinion), there are only a few pages dedicated to explaining the keto diet in general, what to eat, what to avoid, etc. This is nice because when you see the book, you’ll know it’s mostly recipes without a lot of unnecessary fluff and information for people who already know how to navigate keto cooking. Another plus is that the author usually suggests substitutions for ingredients to make recipes dairy-free, nut-free, etc., and there’s also an easy-to-follow-guide with icons for every recipe indicating whether the recipe is free of eggs, nuts, dairy, nightshade vegetables, or is suitable for vegetarians. My caveat about these being “simple” recipes: if you’re a beginner cook, some of these recipes might be a little intimidating, and if you’re new to keto, you’ll likely be shopping for ingredients that you’re not accustomed to using, such as coconut butter, almond flour, and sugar substitutes like erythritol. And some recipes have several steps…they’re not all quick & easy. BUT: the section on dinners made on sheet pans or baking trays is dynamite: one pan, meat, vegetables, and seasonings all together, cooked at one time, and your meal is ready. *These* are definitely simple, and once you see how easy this technique is, you can apply it to all kinds of combinations of whatever meats & vegetables you like. *This* is the kind of truly simple keto cooking I encourage my clients to use. The only other issue I have with the book is that the author emphasizes grass-fed meats, wild-caught seafood, pastured pork, fats from grass-fed & pastured animals, etc. I work at a local farm and absolutely support buying this kind of food for those who can afford it. But the reality is, for people on a budget, those foods are not within financial reach. You can be totally successful on a ketogenic diet without sticking solely to this kind of top-quality food. Buying food from your regular grocery store will get you where you want to go. The single most important thing is keeping the total carbohydrates low. I’ll end on a positive note: *All* of Martina’s cookbooks are beautiful. The photographs practically make your moth water, and something I love about all her books is how diverse the recipes are. If you want to broaden your keto culinary horizons beyond zucchini noodles with meatballs, her books have recipes for Mexican dishes, Greek, Indian, Asian, Eastern European, and more. (Often these flavors are just a matter of changing the herbs & spices you use.) And like I said above, if you’re not into a meat-heavy diet, she features some nice vegetable recipes and some really gorgeous looking salads. Review: Great cookbook with simply delicious keto meals - Following a very recent diagnosis of breast cancer, I have recommitted my life to following a keto lifestyle. I was searching for a way to cook clean, low-carb food for my partner and and I, and there are tons of cookbooks out there. I however, need to keep it simple right now and I was delighted to find Martina had published a book for exactly that. Recipes are clearly written and very simple to follow. I love the photography too. She included icons that identify recipes high in electrolytes, vegetarian, nightshade-free, etc. as well as those tagged with “optional ingredients”, and easy substitutions. The whole book is well organized, and I appreciate that recipes often include multiple ways to make the same dish! It’s like a bonus recipe! I can recommend all of Martina’s books, and I’m excited to start cooking these simple dishes.

Great cookbook with simply delicious keto meals

Simple and superb
Martina Slajerova is an artist and a teacher - she creates simple and creative dishes which are a delight to prepare and a delight to eat. She is also one of the most generous folks out there - offering so much insight and information and advice to the world about Keto ideas and options on her social media platforms. The food stains on my copy of her book are testimony to the regular use I get out of it.

Delicious Looking Recipes - Relatively Easy
So, the reason I got this book is that I need quick and simple. Simple is the keyword here. I have gotten several of these books and find many of the recipes quite overwheming and full of ingredients I might not know orhave on hand. I wanted this one to be completely focused on sinple. There are pictures for mose of the recipes thank goodness. Your mouth will water as you go through these and there are so many I cannot wait to prepare. I don't think these are as quick as I had hoped though - they remind me of the meal prep kit recipes but you don't have your ingredients there and pre-measured already. If you are a novice cook, these won't be complicated but all of them won't be simple either. They do look great though and very appetizing.

The only keto cookbook I use!
I own many other keto cookbooks that I like but this is the only one I actually use. I'm just too busy to think about every meal and there are plenty of recipes I can just cook from the ingredients I have in my fridge. I often find other cookbooks to be heavy in cream, cheese or bacon. Not that it's wrong to eat them but too much of these and the pounds will pile up like they did in my case. I just feel awesome eating like this! The other thing I like is that I only cook for myself and many recipes like the breakfast bowls make 1 or two servings but if I need more I can just scale them up. I love the lunch box recipes. The fish cakes are amazing and the taco meat pies are unbelievable. My colleagues thought I was kidding when I said they were keto! There are a few desserts too. I've made the Giant Truffles two way the other day and I can honestly say it was the most delicious keto dessert I've had so far. So satisfying and really yummy.

GOOD BOOK
I like the book but I didn't see anything that got me excited to try. But, I'll see if my opinion changes after I use it for a while.

If you are NEW to KETO, this book is for you!
This is not an ordinary cookbook with just recipes in it. Rather, the author explains in detail what the Keto diet is all about. The do's, the don'ts, and great suggestions are given at the beginning of this cookbook. What's also really nice is each recipe is equipped with icons such as: dairy-free, or vegetarian, etc. There are beautiful pictures of the recipes, and the directions are easy to follow. The added Bonus is that the meals are DELICIOUS!

Easy keto recipes
From all of the keto cookbooks, this is now my go-to keto recipe book! The recipes are simple but they are not boring and you will want to try them all. Every single recipe I've tried from this cookbook was a huge success and even my nonketo friends were amazed. The Chocolate Chip cookies are legit. I swear no one was able to tell they were keto. I've always struggled with what to have for breakfast and the Granola Crunch is just what I needed. So good and you can make enough for the whole week! The other breakfast recipe I tried was the Mexican Abundance Breakfast Bowl and the cauli rice that in in this recipe is now my staple as a side. I'll update my review as soon as I try more recipes.

Nada nuevo.
he probado varias recetas... Me falta el toque mediterráneo... Le di unas semanas para probarlo, en cada comida y cena y acabé adaptándolo a la comida que tenia por casa, creando nuevas recetas. No hay nada nuevo que no puedas encontrar por la Red.
