It is perfect for starting the wood stove that heats our home. The gears are noisy to start with but wear in quickly. Easy to control the amount of air flow.

I purchased one of these 3 years ago , used it it til it broke. Purchased another one & I use it every time I have a fire in the fireplace. Works well . Not the most expensive or highest quality , but , works as it should. Thank you Amazon.

Loud, barely worked, broke after less than 5 uses. Not worth it even for the price

This tool doesn't blow a lot of air, so I took it apart to see how it works. It's metal with metal gears. The shell is a thin plastic, however just keep it away from heat and it will be fine. It was pretty noisy, so I added oil. .one came with a screwdriver, which is the only tool you need in order to take it apart. I did add some tape to help the metal nozzle stay better, otherwise it was too loose. Update: 10Mar2023 I wanted more air flow, so I took it apart again. I found that I didn't put it together correctly or it was not correct to begin with. What I needed to do was loosen up the screw holding the fan blades onto the gear shaft. Pull that shaft up as much as I could... which took some wiggling. Hold it there, while tightening the fan in place so the blades hold that shaft from falling down, and back inside. After making that correction it was working great! Lots of airflow, kinda noisy, however it will do exactly what I needed it to. I'll update once I finally use this thing. Update - 19 March 2023 It worked great, the wood stove was roaring to life when I used the blower. Because I fixed it, the air flow was great and took very few turns. It actually helped me fix a really unusual problem I was having, down draft from my chimney. I needed to quickly heat the air to get the updraft going, a d so I used this tool to pump some air into the small amount of wood, and it took off so fast! The down draft reversed because of the intense heat, and the updraft started. I recommend this product, however you may need to take it apart and oil it or fix it if the airflow is too little.

works well but not sturdy on the outside. makes me concerned for the inside. ALSO the ratio of turn is 1:36 not shown in the description. It is not a super high output for a fire. The extensions are very thin metal tubing

How did they mess up something so simple? First and foremost it’s not very good at blowing air! Kinda hard to describe but I’ll do my best. When you start to turn the handle the first half to 3/4 of a revolution is smooth then it’s like the breaks got turned on and you have to work harder to make it turn. This is every time you stop and restart turning the handle. It also makes and extremely noisy grinding sound. Next it is so cheaply made. The plastic housing is such a thin plastic. I don’t expect this to last long. If you are building camp fires make sure you don’t leave this laying around too close to the fire or this will distort in a hurry. Unlike other reviewers my extension tube did fit.

Better than blowing at your fire until you get lightheaded, cranking fast will not make this work better take your time and it will do it's job

really worked well getting the coals going, I had previously used an accordion style bellows, so there was a push, then a pause in the air flow, this hand crank keeps the air flowing and got the coals up to temperature in just minutes, the two air flow nozzles are nice, but after using it, I will probably only use the long tip.

Al primer uso recién sacado de la caja empezó a fallar, después de unos minutos se vuelve difícil darle vuelta a la palanca, es de muy baja calidad se nota que es chino, no lo recomiendo.
