Truely no leak (except if you left a tiny bit on the drink whole after a sip). And an additional security lock feature to disable the button from being depressed by accident for like when you want to throw it in your backpack or tote. They did all the right things with this and less is more! No straws that will just let your hot or cold drinks diminish or have to clean. No need for two hands to remove the cover on the drink hole, no handles to have to find while driving or while doing anything else that takes your attention away from what you are doing. Just grab, press and drink! I like how the liquid flows into my mouth and the design of the sipping part of the top piece fits perfect to your mouth; not dripping out and around your lips. The idea to contour the shape to give your hand a natural grasp and the top has the additonal texture for a secure grip that gives you a sold hold on the vessel and your fore fingers land right in postion to trigger it open; litterly a one hand operation. I also like that feeling of insurance I will not spill my drink no matter what I am doing driving, laying down or working on my computer and bump it. Easy to clean, easy to fill with only two parts. A dash of soap and a bottle brush and your good to go. I won't put the lid in the dishwasher, All hand wash and drip dry. They do sell lid replacements which is awesome in case you are to agressive in cleaning the inside of the lid BC it has moving parts you have to be careful of, but they even made it where you can move them out of the way during cleaning too. But I would be careful and wouldn't put anything in it that will leave a film like a smoothies, just water, coffee or tea stuff IMO or you may have to soak the lid to get the lid clean. The top part is the only part you can damage because it would take a lot to damage the flask metal part. I love the matt color variety nonsllck no condensation feel of the surface in your hand, much like a powder coating is. I bought the 16 oz mug and it can hold a large coffee, just the right size. I purchased the 24 oz for my 6'7" grandson as a gift; everything has to be bigger for him! This is my go to for gift giving now because it is a bit pricey but reasonable for gift giving, and well worth it because it's built to last for how ever you take good care of it because it's made with premium materials. I'm pretty sure if you want to max how long it stays cold or hot, rinse in hot water first, stick it in the freezer for a little while or leave it in the frig with water in it. Love the thick wall stainless for keeping drinks at temperature and it's also a better bacterial resistant container too. I am a customer and this is my honest review! Update: one thing I think is missing is the rubber pad on the bottom of the mug many coffee mugs have. Creates a buffer for sitting it on glass or wood furniture.

I had to replace my old Contigo travel mug after 10 years. I love that the new mug has a better way to clean the interior. Never leaks and stays warm/cold for hours. New matte purple color is quite nice. I was over the metallic colors previously.

Nice color. Easy to drink. Keeps beverages hot. Arrived with a small dent so I was a little disappointment but it was small and I know things happen.

I bought this slightly used and it came with maybe one smaller scratch, but I drop it daily and scratch it up so I didn't care. For throwing this thing in bags, cars, and on the hard wood floor, it has really held up well. It scratched and wears, but it works incredibly well and through all the drips the lid hasn't broke. It keeps my coffee so hot I have to let it cool quite a bit before I pour it in this cup so that I can drink it at work. Easy to clean and the lock/seal works 100%, I've never had a spill. I lobe the shape and size, it easily fits in bags and cup holders and looks cute. Totally recommend and I would trust the slightly used version.

I love these Contigo travel tumblers. I never worry if they get knocked over, they don’t leak!! I have bought 5 altogether, definitely would recommend.

The red looks great, and I am already a fan of Contigo Westloops spill proof lid. My existing one keeps it's contents hot all day; way longer than I would have expected. I've several times come home from work with a hot tea, forgotten about it, and rinsed out a still warm tea the next morning. I'm always impressed. The missing star is for the paint job; my current one was blue but now it's entirely stainless steel, no blue remaining. The paint chips and scratches extremely easily, which can take it instantly from what I would consider a very cool looking thermos to something that stays in the car or in the bag rather than on display next to my monitor. If I ever get the courage to use the red one, I'll update with any scratches that appear, or conversely, with a solid red paintjob if it's still there in a couple months.

This is my fourth Contigo mug, which should say a lot. The first one was great, but was too big for my coffee maker. The second one got left behind on vacation. The third suffered un unfortunate interaction with a microwave, which someone who didn't know better. The store where I used to buy them no longer has them, so I bought another brand; but it wasn't genuinely spill-proof, like this Contigo. So to Amazon I went looking for my longtime favorite. Things I like: * It really is spill proof. * The design allows it to be used one-handed, with either hand. No handle means it doesn't have to face a particular direction. * It fits well in my average size hand. * It keeps my coffee hot much longer than any other mug I've used. * It's a good size for most single serving coffee makers, while holding a good amount. * The lock function works well. (My daughter also has one and it served her very well when she had small children who figured out how to use the button but didn't notice the lock.) possible negatives: * The button to open the sipper requires a little strength. It could be hard with very weak hands. I have weak, but not very weak, hands and I rarely have a problem. * It might be hard for smaller hands to operate. * The lid is a pain to clean. I've tried various scrubbers, but they can't get everywhere. The best solution I've found is bleach water. It loosens the coffee stuck to the plastic inside the spring mechanism, and then a few good shakes will get it all out. A nice thing about bleach water is that your nose will tell you accurately if you've rinsed it all out. I've tried other cleaners that were much harder to wash out. (Learn from my mistake: do not try oxy powder!)

Love the color of this cup... the exterior seems more durable than other colored Contigos we've had in the past. However, this one - and another we bought at the same time in stainless steel - leaks. I'm disappointed because I've been a loyal Contigo buyer for about ten years; they stand up to several years of dishwashing typically, and the retain both hot and cold for very long periods of time (better than the one Yeti I've purchased, and for usually a much lower price). This particular cup seems to have a flaw, and unfortunately I'm just outside of my return window, so between the two cups, it's about $50 or $60 completely wasted. The other stainless steel version we got, actually is so badly flawed that it literally sprays hot beverages out the top (something I discovered after our temperatures here finally got lower - and thankfully by simply testing it, or else my son might have gotten burned!). I haven't attempted hot with my purple cup yet, but will need to test that. I'm bummed because it fits my bike's cupholder perfectly and not all cups do. And while it works fine for that angle, if I put it in the side bottle holder on my purse and set the purse on my lap, it leaks all over my clothes in mere seconds. If a kid were to lay it flat on a car seat with hot chocolate or soda in it, it would be everywhere. Very disappointed! I'm hoping Contigo will see this and offer me replacements because both the cups I got are going to be unusable for hot drinks in particular, and these are a fairly big investment in terms of cost each.

We love the Contigo mugs! Have used them for years. They keep hot liquids hot, never leak, and the one-handed action to unseal and drink is perfect when driving. My husband lost his favourite orange mug several years ago (there’s a family connection to that colour) so when we saw it, we bought it, despite the rather high price. He is happy.

A great mug! It's been used for hot drinks and its kept them at drinking tempfor st least 5 hours which is what is advertised. Ive not had cold drinks in it yet, but from hornets been with hot ones, it'll do great! It's been used for a month now and the paint has stayed on and I've had no spills or drips from it. You can put the lid in the dishwasher, but not the body. It is easy to use in the car, which is something I was looking for.
