It's Amazing.
I've gotten this twice, now. I NEED MORE!! First of all, I LOVE sari material! ESPECIALLY the silk!! I LOVE that it's reclaimed! I LOVE the colors!!! As long as you understand that the strips are only lightly tacked end to end, you'll be fine. Just be a little careful. HOWEVER! Once it's knitted or crocheted, it's extremely strong! So far, I've made 2 plant hangers. I did a single crochet and wrapped a ceramic pot and wove in the hanger with the same "rope". That's what's in the photo. I made it for my mom and she absolutely loves it. Yes, she legit loves it. I can tell when she fake loves something after 48 years. 😂 Anyway! I got the 2nd skein to make another version and I love it! I'm keeping that one. The patterns and colors are so incredible, I actually took pictures to blow up and put on the wall! I love texture photos. It's expensive but, I know how much silk costs so, it's totally reasonable.

Beautiful
I wasn’t expecting this yarn to be so gorgeous. Thin strips of recycled sari fabric sewn into a long strip of yarn. As the saris are cut, the little threads create a gorgeous variety of colors. Thick and thin, all colors, fluffy and smooth. Just amazing! Oh, and the quantity is generous. It arrives wound into a tight twist, very fun to unravel and roll it into a useful ball. Can’t wait to weave something!

One of the Best Most Versatile Supplies
This arrived fairly quickly, about 5 days... that was ahead of schedule according to the estimate. The colors are stunning and the quality is exactly what I was hoping for. It is a very versatile supply to have. As a papercrafter I wasn't sure if this would get much use, but I can already see that I will go through this very quickly. It is great to have a recycled material that is authentic and it is so incredible to use in my projects... looks fantastic! Darn Good Yarn... darn right! It's worth spending a little more over other options when you get something of great quality like this.

Inspired color and textures for artwork
Fabulous variety of vibrant colors for mixed media projects. Love the texture too.

good quality and great for dyeing projects
I bought this skein of recycle sari silk to use for plant dyeing. I often use them to test colors after I cut them in small strips. I have also dyed them and crafted with them... A lot of irregularity but that is part of the fun. They are also sewn together in segments to make a long ball of silk 'yarn' -- but that doesn't bother me as I am using strips anyway. They are about 2' in length -- each strip that is sewn together. Here is a picture of silk that I dyed with Mexican marigolds -- so brilliant!

Shabby Vintage Perfection!
I have never ordered sari silk ribbon before, but I'm getting into junk journaling, so I thought I'd give it a try. This is just a pile of soft, vintage loveliness! It does have seams throughout where one piece has been sewn to another, but the look, color & feel are all lovely. And you get a LOT! I'm using mine to make tassels. It has a nice tea-stained look. VERY pretty! The only downside is it gets wisps of ribbon when you cut it, kind of like a trailing spider web. They're easy enough to cut off, though, and don't seem to cause any real harm to the remaining ribbon.

So disappointed in quality
I’ve rarely been so excited for a delivery, followed by hours of annoyance just to make the product somewhat useful. I wanted to love this ribbon, and I suppose I still do, but only after a huge effort of knotted strings and tangled rats nests and tying ribbon back together. At the eventual completion of re-rolling the whole thing, there were three pieces that were so thin and fragile that they shouldn’t even have been used. I do love the bright colors. Would have liked having a few patterned pieces included but I think I’ve made it useful in the end. There was a lot I had to throw away but what is left really is quite beautiful. I doubt that I will be a return customer but will definitely pay more attention to bad reviews in the future. So if you have a few hours to kill, and maybe have half of what you start with when you are done cleaning up their mess, go ahead and buy this beautiful ribbon.

Lovely recycled Silk Saris
I purchased this "yarn" for use in my class on Natural Dyeing. It accepted the dye readily with beautiful shades. It is an interesting concept of recycling silk saris; due to the age and former use of the saris, the fabrics have been degummed and ready for dyeing.they
