Easy to read display!
The first thing I noticed on my new kitchen timer was the larger easy to read display. The numbers are larger than other timers I've tried. I have no issues now glancing across the kitchen to see how much cooking time is remaining. The buttons are easy to press. And the back up light is a huge plus. I sit mine on the counter, but it has a magnet so it could also be easily placed on the refrigerator or other objects. Simple to set and reset. I've used it several times and it's reliable with the time. It's nice that this timer is both a count down and count up timer. I can see me using it for exercising and many other things. It has a volume control which is really nice. I sit it to loud so I can hear it from another room. But with that said, it's not a blaring loud sound. It was packaged very well and arrived on time. The appearance is very simple. I'm very pleased with this TempPro kitchen timer. Would highly recommend!

easiest timer to use, see, and hear!
Magnet firmly sticks to the fridge, easy to zero out and reset, Volume of signal can be made soft or loud, has hours, minutes, and seconds which help for baking a number of my recipes, has two modes-- clock or timer and can stand on a counter. This is the best timer I have gotten and is apt for timing for reminders or baking ... or timeouts :-)

TemPro TM01 Kitchen Timer
This Kitchen Timer came with an excellent set of instructions. The timer was easy to set up & use. The touch keys are large enough to easily be seen in a well-lighted room. Once timer is set the numbers are bold & easily read. I could live without the touch yellow night light that comes on with any adjustment to the timer as I do not need or want it. I think that this timer will be durable. I use the stand to set it up on my desk. The volume is easily adjustable which is a plus. The alarm is loud enough to be heard across the house. I do recommend this timer. I have two.

Loud alarm
I can't hear the microwave or oven timer from other parts of the house so I wanted something I could take with me to my office. This fits the bill. The alarm is actually loud enough that I could probably hear it if i left it in the kitchen:) Time is easy to read and moderately easy to set but I need to find a safe place for the directions because it isn't obvious. The problem is that buttons are "over loaded" and so you have to press two buttons at one time or hold one button for an extended time, etc. This is common with small devices because they just don't have the room to have separate buttons for everything so it is no worse than other devices. The magnets on the back are great because I can just stick it on the fridge. And it has a stand to prop it up when I'm using it. The only thing I don't like is that there is no actual off button so the battery is always on powering the screen even when the device is not in use.

Best all around kitchen timer
I really like this type timer. It is easy to program time, easy to clear, its digital display shows the seconds remaining, has a sufficiently loud alarm to hear it across the room, stays on long to react to it and I like that the alarm shuts off after a while. Lastly, I like the magnetic backing so I have two attached to the micro wave. Sometimes I want an alarm to stay on until I shut it off for certain purposes so I have a different timer for these circumstances.

IF YOU WANT LOUD LOUDER AND LOUDEST ALARM HERE IT IS
PROS: I actually bought this alarm to use as an alarm clock. Okay so I can't set the exact time, but I can set the exact sleep or work time before this alarm goes off up to up to 1 second shy of 100 hours in the future and that is a lot of time. I like that the light goes on easily with a touch sensor. It is a little confusing why a touch sensor was used for the light, but who cares it works. Light goes on when you push a button or touch anywhere near the light bulb image at the top of this alarm. I have bad tinnitus first from the NAVY, then cancer, and yes I'm getting up in the years too so it is much louder than it used to be. When I was younger I could get up to the drop of a pin. Now it takes more than my old Seiko alarm clock can produce sound wise to get me up. THIS ALARM WILL FIT THE BILL. I'm confident it will get me up in the morning even set to its lowest level as that is close to as loud as my smoke alarm. Okay here is a tip. If you don't like the noise just use the button in the back to turn off the noise there is a silence feature, but you will have to turn it back on after you set the alarm or when the alarm goes off there will be no sound just a switch to the count up timer after the alarm runs out. I'm very excited about finding a quality made product that will do exactly what I want and get me out of bed that said, if you are one of these snooze types you only have one minute of alarm then silence so GET OUT OF BED if you are using it like an alarm clock like I will. Two AAA batteries are all that you need to have this little beast wake you out of a sound sleep, or get you to go to the kitchen before you cake burns. Because of the construction I would expect this alarm to be able to take some heat. I like that this has a clock feature, but the clock makes me want to have more. (maybe a real alarm that you could set, but count down timer will be fine for me) Lastly in the PROS and don't be surprised, but this alarm lets you know it is ready right from putting in the batteries as you will get a beep on that last battery in. CONS: Clock function and Count down timer only function. Yes this alarm will count up but you can not set a time that it will count up to like some alarms. Very small point. Also since there is a backlight I think there should be maybe a flashing backlight feature while the alarm is going off as there is none. The numbers blink, but the light is only because you have touched the timer/clock. Okay I've run this through it's paces you have the pros and cons from a user perspective. I just wish it didn't take me so long to find this great countdown timer. Yes I'd buy this again and recommend to friends. UPDATE: 4/18/2025 I now own four of these timers for over four years each. Even used one as a kitchen timer yesterday. Another big plus to these is that pop in a good set of rechargeable batteries and my timers are good for many months before needing a recharge. In a case these timers work great for travel. If you have concerns about the timer going off in luggage put the timer on count up mode, start the timer, and you should have no troubles. Crazy thing is this timer is the same price and actually less than ones that do not work as well.

Great little timer.
I never thought there would be so many variables in buying an inexpensive timer - until I started looking at them and thinking about the very particular needs of our “chef.” This matched everything we need. Also, I think the description or comments indicated that it does not automatically give you a count up after your countdown. I’m pretty sure ours actually does this, which was a pleasant surprise. (If you’re late to catch the timer, it can be very helpful to know how much time has elapse since your countdown ended.) We like the color, size, display size, accuracy, and features (seems spot on). It took a second to retrain ourselves on the key combination (it’s easy, just different) to clear the timer. Otherwise, no surprises and it’s easy to use. We haven’t tried the magnet, so no comment there. Recommended.

Works great for 2 years. Way too loud!
It worked great for a couple of years, (in spite that the speaker is WAY TOO LOUD - and an ear-piercing, extremely annoying pitch / tone). Then, for some reason I don't know why - SUDDENLY it began to NOT BEEP at all when ever it was supposed to. (I learned, that if I physically whack it on a solid, immovable object, like a table top, SUDDENLY it would Beep (when it's supposed to). But then, if I let it sit on the counter and try to use it the next day, it would do the same thing; not beep when the time got to the end and it's supposed to, unless I whack it on something hard. (Whacking it on the palm of my other hand doesn't make it beep.) I had a West bend timer years ago, that worked perfectly for about 12 or 15 years, and it was only about $4 or $5 when I bought it. You'd think for $12, you'd get a quality device, that would last for several years like that one did. Not want this one. I probably would have given it a four star, not five because the tone is way too loud. (Other reviewers have said equal things about that.) So, I'm not the only one. But given it only lasted for about 2 years before it broke, and that's been about 3 years ago.. I'm not giving it a four-star. The timer part still works great. If I could just remember to look at it all the time to see when it's going to go off. But what's the use having a timer that you have to look at all the time to find out if it's going to go off or not? That's the reason I got it. So I don't have to look at it all the time, and I can wait for it to beep to tell me when to do whatever I time it for. So I gave it a three-star. After all, it did last for 2 years. And with the falling dollar, and inflation, I guess $12 isn't that bad. (By the way, if you've got this timer, or you decide to get one, I recommend putting a piece of electrical tape over the speaker underneath the cover in the back, I keep the sound of it from piercing your ears, or else every time it it beeps it's going to rattle your brain, and make your head hurt!) Other than that, it's a great timer. Get one, it'll last 2 years.

Nice quality, easy to read and use.
This is a GREAT little timer. Magnetics well onto our fridge. Good size, large numbers, and the screen lights up a nice orange when inputting your time. Easy to clear. You can even adjust the volume. You can also change mode to a clock function (though I don’t use that because I’m always using it as a timer! Have been using it for quite a few months, and would very much recommend this timer.

Buy these.
As someone who has been in the restaurant business for over 20 years I highly recommend these timers. Easy to read display, good volume control, easy to push buttons (that don’t beep with every push) and fast time increase with a long hold of the buttons. The rear magnets also offer quite a strong grip which is nice.
