Good, but could be better
This is a heavy, Chinese-built machine that functions well - especially with heavier 120g paper with the handy feature of being able to set the distance in from the edge that the holes are punched. However, there are one or two problems. The rather-too-wide claws that upon the binding combs work satisfactorily with those over 8mm diameter - but 8 mm and 6mm are a struggle. The operating handle, when in its most convenient operating position, gets in the way of dropping the paper over the spikes. Set it lower and it's fine - but awkward to use. Mine machine well in regular daily use for 6 months and then the handle return springs both broke. If this happens to yours, at the back you'll see a sheet-metal plate; unbolt that and you can get to the springs. Of course, no dealer stocks spares so you'll have to find your own. I bought a box of assorted springs from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Large-Assorted-Expansion-Extension-Springs/dp/B00WO3Y35O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1504883457&sr=8-1&keywords=box+assorted+springs, four of which proved to be useable. With two fitted the machine was back in action - with the other pair - and a second pair that might be useable with wire extenders, parked in the back of the machine in a box. The central body of this machine is in a die-cast or "drawn" alloy and most of the fasteners holding on the steel side plates are in the form of quick-thread, self-tapping screws. Once removed, upon replacement, the thread in the alloy will often strip. As they go into blind holes there is no room to replace them with nuts and bolts and other bodges have to be invented to hold it all together again.

Ovviamente ha un costo elevato, ma ripaga in termini di qualità e facilità di utilizzo. Quella precedente che avevo comprato (che era molto più economica) ha smesso di funzionare bene quasi subito, questa invece si tocca con mano la diversa qualità e pertanto spero la diversa durata nel tempo... per ora sono soddisfatto al 100% !
