As a lacrosse coach for younger kids, these balls are a must have. They are the same size and weight as a regular lacrosse ball but won't bounce accross the field or concrete if it's not caught. If you have a heavily sloped yard, or perhaps no yard, and especially if you are on a hill, you cannot beat these weighted balls. We started with real lacrosse balls and lost all of them in the first day given hour topography in Oregon, but with these evenly direct hit on a curb will cause the ball to basically stop. Effectively the same weight of a lacrosse ball, but incredibly effective in places or situations where you cannot use a real lacrosse ball. A note about durability and quality control. We have three sets so far, one of the sets seems to be losing the chalky filling of it faster than the other two, but so far we have been playing with them for months on asphalt and concrete, which should be unforgiving to the leather like exteriors of these balls. Aside from the logos being blasted off long ago, four of the six are effectively throwing like new. A note about the feel when throwing. There is slightly more friction when throwing, so when you switch back to regular lacrosse balls you will actually find it easier and smoother to get a release. In other words, training is a bit more challenging than playing a game with real balls, which for my two cents is a great thing.

I used these as part of a birthday favor bag for a bunch of lacrosse boys. They were a huge hit! I knew they would be great because my son already had a few and he uses them often.

If you are teaching your kid how to catch and throw a lacrosse ball you need to buy this....i started with the original lacrosse ball but was spending more time chasing after it than actually playing catch and throw.... with the Laxsak if you or you kid misses, it will roll and come to a stop in a short distance. Has a very similar weight and feel to an actual lacrosse ball. As well an accidental hit to the face wont hurt as much compared to a lacrosse ball if not wearing equipment....will definitely buy again, quality seems good how ever if playing on asphalt the top layer will peel off a little bit from use. Bought these for my son and I to use in our backyard passing so we didn't have to worry about chasing a ball or damage to the house. Pretty basic but does what it needs to well. Holding up well for now.

Lasted 1-2 weeks of use before it split and leaked everything. Wish it lasted longer because it was a great training ball.
