It fits, its a k&n, wasn't very oiled but inflation has been hitting us all lately 😂

This review is for the "K&N High Performance Replacement Air Filter" in my '14 Mustang. This is the second modification for my car (the first was "OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE LOSING" decal) since I got it. I consider this a power upgrade as better air flow results in better acceleration and more horse power. The install was easy; pop off the air filter cover, remove paper filter, install cotton fiber K&N filter. The cotton cloth will be much better at catching dirt and will not "plug up" like the pores in a paper filter. The cotton is oiled so dirt particles get stuck while the air flows up, down and around the cotton fibers. I do understand that this is not a "total CAI kit" but more of a step (in the right direction) for my car. This filter will not void my warranty nor does it require a tune. The cost is very low considering this is a lifetime filter; just wash and re-oil. Once I own the car more - I can get the CAI, tune, exhaust kit.

Fit perfect in my 2012 boss 302 made a difference in throttle response. Very great product.

The quality of the filter is much better than the stock one. Also the disposable one that you can buy of the shelf does not even compare to the K&N. The best part is that they are reusable. I noticed a slight improvement in my mileage (0.4mpg) but that was expected as the previous filter was very dirty. The exhaust note also sounds a little deeper which is nice. If you are trying to increase you hp go for a CAI as this will not make a difference. Overall the filter is definitely worth the higher price. Keep in mind that while the filter can be cleaned you will have to buy the cleaning kit from them ($11.00). The main reason I got this filter is because of the higher cfm.

I live at 5,600 feet above sea level so improving my air intake by 23% is bound to help and save money on filters, This K&N drop in seals very well and only takes seconds to install and very easy to clean and service when needed. My Mustang already gets outstanding gas mileage with strong performance. There was no obvious improvement to either but more air and better filtration at a low price is still a winner. Cold air systems like the K&A and others, while doing a better job,require a re-tune and going up to 92 or 96 octane. With the drop in K&A, you gain air flow with no need to re-tune. 305 hp on 87 octane is where I want to stay.
