Game Changers
I spent an obscene amount of time trying to figure out the best replacement for my stock PRS pickups. They were muddy garbage and I came very close to selling it but decided to try and find some new pickups that could bring it back to life, and after reading and watching an endless amount of reviews and videos it came down to these and Duncan Pearly Gates. Anyways I went with these and I couldn’t be more happy, it’s a whole new guitar with tons of versatility, these pickups sound phenomenal for any type of music you like to play. If you’re on the fence, trust me you’ll be pleased with these.

So happy with these pickups. Their output rating measured EXACTLY as described from factory. Full, Rich, Vintage with that gloss of modern in them. I installed them in my Telecaster Deluxe, couldn’t be happier!

The Proverbial Tele On Steroids
I put a set of Thornbuckers in a PRS S2 McCarty 594. The pickups in the PRS were classic sounding humbuckers, but they were a bit dark for my taste, especially in the neck position, which is quite common. The Thornbuckers transformed a guitar that I was thinking about selling, into what is probably now my favorite. It has become the proverbial "Tele on steroids" with lots of clarity and balance in all positions. They respond well to height adjustments, so take a little time to fine-tune your sound!
