What is the poem on the reverse side?

Evidently it doesn't come with the poem any longer, and the poem is one of the reasons I ordered it. The back of mine just has a product description in 8 languages. Stupid and ugly!

Are the magnets inside the ornament or are they attached to the outside?

the ornaments are the magnets themselves, so the magnet is part of the ornament

Can I get replacement ornaments?

Contacted Melissa and Doug customer service and the said unfortunately they can not replace every piece so they were not willing to sell the magnets for the $8. My husband went to Walmart since it is now close to Christmas and found some mini wooden ornaments close in size (6 total) for $1.98 and used stackable magnet sheets cut it to fit and we now have extras! .

What is the recommended age for this advent calendar?

The description says 36months to 7 years. They are magnets and the only hazard I see is the child putting them in their mouth. My son had just turned 5 when I bought it. We don't use ours as an actual toy though and is a fun decoration to help count down the days and keeps them from asking how soon before Christmas a few more times 😁
