Good quality, doesn't break, does the job
This is a good product, and works just as well or better than the big name brand of unwaxed floss, which I used for years. This is simply THE product to buy is you need unwaxed floss. It never breaks, either. It's relatively thin, but very durable.

Great floss & package size
Great floss. It doesn’t rip or shred. Very hard to find unwaxed floss in a lot of stores. Happy to find it on Amazon at a reasonable price too.

Bang for your buck
Thin enough for my crown. And the amount you get for the price is amazing. Not amazingly durable but you have so much you can just rip more

Great floss, really like dispenser design but tangled floss doesn’t pull through.
This is great — like the dependable dental floss we used to have. We have looked for the past year or so for this kind of dental floss. The only find on the shelf is the flat glider kind with all sorts of flavors, waxed, — no unwaxed available. Good dispenser design except the floss gets hung up somehow and can’t be easily pulled through.

Love-hate relationship with this floss resulting in love only
My review title says it all. I am an older person (70) which means, as a result of aging, my gums have receded resulting in larger gaps between my teeth where the teeth meet the gum line. Oral hygiene now requires a more concerted effort to keep all areas in tip-top shape bc food will get trapped in those areas, not to mention that exposed dentin at the receded gumline holds onto food more easily. (ah…the things to look forward to in old age!) When I came across this floss I could see that reviews were mixed, and I can see why. Unwaxed floss is much more challenging to snap past the tooth-to-tooth contacts. If you have tight contacts, this floss may not be for you. Wait til you are older! Ha! I was curious about non-waxed, bc having used waxed floss my whole life, it was feeling like it was becoming increasingly less effective for me. So I tried the unwaxed. The first time I tried it was frustrating. I was used to waxed floss easily sliding between the teeth contacts. It took effort to get the unwaxed past the contacts. But I kept at it, mostly bc I didn’t have any other floss to which I could run. Wow! This stuff really cleans the teeth gaps and areas around the gums. With no wax there is a lot more friction and a much more effective cleaning of all areas where this floss is used. I am 100% sold and can never go back to waxed. I’m completely used to it now and can navigate the challenge of its use without thinking about it. Last night I ran out of the unwaxed and had to use some waxed floss. TOTALLY unsatisfactory and I felt like I was just performing a duty, not really cleaning my teeth. By the way, using it every night, it took me a year to go through a single container. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

Good price and packaging but shreds for tight teeth
I really wanted to like this Practicon SmileGoods unwaxed dental floss, but I can only barely tolerate it. Maybe if it was waxed, I could deal with it, but it shreds fairly easily and becomes stuck between my teeth. It might be good for someone who has wider gapped teeth than I do, but I personally would not order it again. I cannot make myself throw it away, so I have kept it as an emergency use if I run out of orders from other brands. I ordered this floss because I loved the idea of less packaging for the amount of product and will give it 3 stars because of that and the price.

Best unwaxed floss I've tried. Does not break or shred.
This is the best unwaxed floss I have found. Night and compared to GUM fine unwaxed floss. Hasn't broken or shredded like GUM did for me.

too sharp. i recommend avoiding this product.
i've been using the same floss for 20 or 30 years now, because it's (for me) the best one out there (rhymes with 'pride'). even after it got taken over by a bigger company (rhymes with 'moral tea'), the floss didn't change. to my perception, it never changed at all, over these many decades --which is great, since it's the best. why mess with the best? but when i bought my most recent batch and started using it, it was a radically different product, far inferior to the one i was used to, and not even good enough to consider using ever again. so now the tedious search has begun: find the best new floss that i can live with, and stick with. this brand/version is one of the first i'm trying. my response is mixed: 1. the price is definitely fair. 2. it's phenomenally strong --maybe the strongest floss i've ever used. you might be able to tow a boat behind a small car, with this stuff. 3. it's truly thinner than most i've ever used --so thin that i need to double it up, to even be able to use it. and even then, i'd prefer it a bit thicker. i tried tripling it up, but that was too thick (couldn't get it between ALL my teeth). 4. it's quite 'sharp' (probably due to the combination of being so strong and so thin). the sharpness must have caused some minor gum cutting, because i noticed blood a few times, when i rinsed and spat out. i never draw blood; my teeth and gums are quite healthy and my oral hygiene is totally regular. i never see blood from brushing or flossing (that's usually a sign of gum disease, or poor oral hygiene, or both). in any case, my dentist always comments that he rarely sees patients with absolutely zero (even minor) bleeding, during deep cleaning. the sharpness of this floss simply means it's ruled out as a possibility. i'll finish it off while i order and sample other brands, have no idea what's out there. i've noticed, in the brief and cursory search so far, that most floss nowadays appear to be waxed. i don't do waxed. it defeats the purpose. so my options may turn out to be sadly limited. the primary thing is that i hate shopping. when it comes to routine products, i just search diligently for the very best one --for as long as it takes to find the best, and then i stick with it forever (or until the company goes out of business or stops making that particularly item [which usually happens sooner or later, since my loyalties measure in decades, not years] ). in any case, i strongly recommend you don't try this dental floss. the positives are that it's tremendously strong and shred-proof, and unwaxed. but the fact that it draws blood, is just too big of a negative.
