I am currently doing physical therapy for back pain due to scolosis. I love the back stretch machine in the facility. Does this do the same thing?

I'm not sure what machine you have in your facility, nor am I a doctor but I think this machine would provide a great stretch for you. It allows a controlled stretch. People love it in our facility. Hope this helps!

How does this compare to the Precor stretching machine?

I do not have any other stretching machine except for my Motive Totalstretch. It pretty much provides me with all the basic stretch I need..

Is the seat position adjustable? Can it move closer to the front for a shorter person?

Its adjustable in the sense that it' kind of rotates closer and further away from the bars. I've seen both tall and shorter people use it effectively and haven't had anyone report that they are unable to use iit. I hope this helps you.
