I have been buying Vital Proteins Collagen Powder for over five years, mainly to help with nail strength. My nails used to chip and break easily, and after a few weeks of daily use I noticed a clear improvement. They became thicker, stronger, and chipped far less often. Over time, I also noticed a positive change in my skin texture. My hair has also become healthier and shinier since adding this to my routine. The powder dissolves really well in hot drinks. I usually add it to my coffee and it blends completely with no grit or residue. It does not have a taste, so it is easy to mix into whatever you prefer. If you want to add it to a cold drink, I recommend dissolving it in a small amount of hot water first and then pouring that into your cold drink so it mixes smoothly. The color is a normal off white collagen powder. One thing to note is that it no longer comes with a scoop inside, so keep that in mind when you open it. The container size has gotten smaller and price has increased over the years, but I continue to buy it because the quality is consistent and it has genuinely helped me. I first caught this Vital Proteins Collagen Powder on sale at my local Publix on BOGO so decided to give it a try. Full disclosure, I also began taking a NAD+ supplement from ZenUp and an oral collagen supplement from Sanas a couple of weeks before I tried this. I was blown away by the results I had gotten with those two and wanted to up my collagen intake specifically because I fell from the 3rd story of an apartment building as a child and realized, during my first pregnancy, that it had caused me joint issues I was unaware of until then. Anyways, now I'm 50 and recently divorced. After the separation my health took a dive... I wasn't eating and it really affected my physical health, as well as my beauty, before I snapped out of it. All of this was in an attempt to get my health back on track so I could feel well enough to go back to work. Due to the joint pain I often have pain so intense I can't hardly walk. Anyways, after using this powder I noticed outstanding results to not only my mobility, but also to the plumpness and tightness of my skin!! Thinking this result was probably universal to all collagen products, I tried to swap brands on both my capsule supplement and this powder supplement in order to save a bit of money. I ended up trying two other collagen powders from other highly rated brands (Ancient & Nature) that touted 5 different kinds of collagen, thinking that might work EVEN BETTER! Boy... was I wrong. I had a severe allergic reaction to both of them (after some research, I think it's the fish collagen... even though I'm not allergic to any fish that I'm aware of. I read that it's the most likely culprit) I stopped taking them all to let my body recover and immediately had hip pain so bad I couldn't even drive myself to the store. In an act of desperation I ordered this on Amazon hoping it would help. It wasn't supposed to arrive for almost 2 weeks but, in an act of God, I got a notification the NEXT DAY that it was out for delivery!!! Not expecting it to help with the pain, but I started taking this the same day. I always just add a big scoop to my coffee and I don't even notice a flavor nor much of a difference in texture. Kinda smoother I guess. Anyways. Wasn't expecting a miracle but that's exactly what I got. By bedtime of the same my tenderness had decreased only about 10%. Used it 2 or 3 times the next day and by bedtime tenderness had decreased by about 70%. Today, I've used it once and my recovery is at about 90%. Really shocked and pleasantly surprised by the overall results in only 2 days. This product has proven itself to me. 100% It may be more expensive, but if you can swing it, it's definitely worth it. The other powders seemed to dry out my skin as well and I realized it's probably because of the added hyaluronic acid. Oral HA supplements always seem to make my skin dry. Not sure why. 😂 But my skin is recovering well with Vital. Overall I give this supplement a 10/10 for both joint health as well as skin improvements. Excellent product! I have been using since September 2025 and it has made a tremendous difference in my skin and hair. My only reason for four stars is that the new container is very challenging to open. I wish they would have stayed with the plastic container!

My husband uses this protein powder regularly. He loves that it’s unflavored and mixes easily with anything. Great amount for price. The chocolate flavor is delicious to mix with milk and bananas.

This collagen powder is elite. I started using it in my first trimester of pregnancy to get extra protein while I was nauseated and have been using it ever since. It is tasteless and odorless. Easy to mix in warm or hot water. Helps me feel full in the morning without any weird side effects or nausea. My husband had been using it for about a year before I tried it and I’m so grateful we had it on hand when I needed it most. Will continue to make my morning lemon drink with this collagen powder.
