Learning Resources Smart Snacks Alpha Pops, The Original Letter Popsicles

I haven't tried playing with this item with my child yet as the one I had received seemed used/damaged (through no fault of the seller, who has been excellent to work with!), but it seems like it's going to be a really great toy once we receive a new set. The colors are very bright and there is something very fun and almost soothing about popping them together and hearing that tiny "pop!" sound. Two caveats: this could have just been the item I had received, but the painted letters had smeared on about 40% of the pops, raising concerns that a teething child might be ingesting a mouthful of paint. Also, the fact that there are only 13 sets (double-sided, to make the whole alphabet) will make it tricky to spell words or to find certain letters (for example, if the "A" side of a pop is up on the floor and you ask your child to find the "M" pop, she won't be able to unless she knows it's on the back of the A or flips the A over to see...). You could probably use this to your advantage with an older child to make it more fun/add more mystery - but just something to be aware of. That said, besides the paint smearing issue (which I assume was just with my set), this seem like they will be a big hit, as they are colorful and delicious looking - and the perfect size and feel for small hands. I'll update this once I get the replacement set and try it out with my 18 month old (who I think will be too young for this, but will probably like sorting the colors and making them pop into each other!). Update: the new set does NOT have the smeared paint and is great fun! We even play with them in the bathtub. At 18 months, my baby is able to clip the pieces together by herself about 60% of the time -- and enjoys the challenge. We're using them just for colors now - but will have fun with letters when she is ready! I'm adding back the star I had taken off b/c of the paint. :) [oh, and the price on Amazon is the best one around right now]

My grandson’s loved these! They were very easy for them to put together & big enough that I didn’t have to worry about their 10 month old sister picking up small pieces! Very age appropriate! We love all Learning Resources products!

I just received these in the mail yesterday. I opened them up right away & my daughter was at my side & was INSTANTLY in love with these popsicles! She loves learning & reciting her Alphabet & these were the perfect toy to help her practice! I also love how absolutely adorable they are. I love the plastic they are made out of. Easy to clean with a disinfectant wipe (as my daughter likes to pretend to “eat” them lol). They are very well made & are very durable. I love watching my daughter match up the colors & letters. She adores them & quite frankly, she hasn’t put them down since I opened up that box in the mail! Lol This is definitely a must buy & you won’t be disappointed!

I got these for my just turned two year old and she enjoys playing with them. She doesn't often put them together, but they're great for identification. I just wish they weren't double sided and each letter had its own popsicle. My daughter is constantly holding them up and trying to ask me what letter it is, but we're seeing different letters. The materials are soft yet durable which is really nice and the sticks are wooden I think. They also fit together pretty easy but might be a little more difficult for younger ones. I haven't had them longer than 2 months but I don't see any sign of fading. I love Learning Resources toys so this one was another good one.

I love these! The colors are vibrant and great for keeping busy toddlers engaged in learning! I purchased 2 sets to allow my 2 year old to be able to view the full alphabet while learning his upper and lower case letters. Highly recommended for toddler parents and perfect for little hands!

The cutest idea to learn letters and connect upper and lower case together as popsicles! Great value and perfect material!! Easy for my toddler to use! They are so lightweight and for the intended age range!! Highly recommend!

My son loves his new toys

These are great! I have been eyeing these for awhile and finally decided to buy two boxes (so I could remove the letters on one side of each set of pops to have the whole alphabet). I used 100% acetone nail polish remover to remove the letters from one side of each pop and it removed the letters with one swipe of it! It did not affect the colors of the pops in the least. I had the letters off the back of each pop in five minutes or less. If you want your child to be able to lay out the whole alphabet of these, I would recommend buying two boxes and doing the same. My twins just turned three and love them; they can do them without any assistance, for age reference (though I am sure they would be fun for younger kids, too, with help!).

Good quality product. The only con is that it is only one half of the alphabet, and the other half is on the other side of the pop. For children on the spectrum this is an absolute disaster as they want to see the whole alphabet lined up.

The alpha pops are very easy to hold and manipulate. Teaches letters, colours and matching. A success with my grandson!

As a preschool teacher, I love anything learning resources brand! These are great quality. They are easy enough for my daughter to pull apart and put together. Such a fun way to learning colours, letters etc. definitely recommend!
