SOLUTION FOR DRUNK BROS
I live with my boyfriend and his friend. Which means every single weekend we have friends coming in and out of the house after we get home from bars, etc. They NEED, I mean absolutely HAVE to write on our small dry erase board containing important dates, plans, etc. This was cool, but since we have important dates coming up in the next couple of months and I forget things like it's my job, it probably wasn't going to work out anymore. So, since I was painting our fairly large kitchen regardless I decided last minute to paint a chalkboard wall to make more room for important dates and plans, as well as doubling as space for them to get out whatever thier hearts desire on the wall. What can I say except for ~mEmOrIeZ~. Such good ones. Let me add, they're very creative. Extremely. Very talented group of guys. So I ordered this and it came in about 2 days like it should because I do pay for Amazon Prime. There was just one problem - it came kind of half open and spilled onto the label. No biggie though. I used it anyways. All I can say about the actual product (after my whole spiel about all my talented bros) is that it is awesome. Used one coat because that's all you need. However, because I am OCD as fudge I went back and made some perfecting touch ups. It goes on thick so you don't really need a lot. I used a medium sized paintbrush to paint a medium sized kitchen wall and almost sprained my wrist/hand but it's ok (just in case you were worried). It looks pretty cool and when you wipe off the chalk with water or soap and water it doesn't take the paint off the wall. Basically, a little goes a long way! Ignore how the packaging comes because who really cares. Big props to Amazon and their quality boxing because otherwise I would have felt bad for the delivery man for turning into a human chalkboard. Anyway, I recommend it 110%. You just need some patience, a strong hand and a few drunk bros to decorate it for you. Necessities, you know?

Krylon Chalk Board Paint Rocks!
This Chalk board paint is stellar! It is really thick. I bought to to paint over a white board on the inside of a hutch I was refurbishing. I used a 4" foam brush. I guess I laid it on a little bit too thick on the because it started to drip on the top as the second coat was drying. I literally thought I'd have to remove it and start over but I didn't end up having to do that. I just redipped the foam brush and went over it. It looked like it was going to be streaky and drippy. I walked away frustrated but when I went back about an hour later it had evened out. It was a perfectly flat smooth surface! Success! After you let it dry ( I let it cure for 2 days) make sure and prime the chalk board with the side of a piece of chalk. It worked really well. I wasn't sure how it would adhere to a smooth slick surface however it worked out just fine. I can't believe what appeared to be such a mottled paint job turned out so smooth so let it dry before you start messing with it like I did You can't even tell that the hutch didn't come this way. I'm looking for other things to turn into a chalk board because I am so pleased with this product and how it performed. I definitely recommend it! User error aside, it still worked out fabulously! These foam brushes from Amazon are a really good value and work well with this paint .I am really enjoying this website. I spend a little bit too much time on here searching for the best values and best reviews so I hope this saves you a little bit of time. Works great, don't be stingy with it
I bought this to convert a whiteboard my employer was throwing away into a chalkboard for our toddler. After sanding, cleaning, and priming the surface (and masking the frame with tape) I put two coats on with a nice synthetic 2" brush. The first coat I tried to be a little more conservative with the paint and ended up leaving brush marks across the whole thing. The second coat I was a little more generous with and it came out much better but still had brush marks. I bought the nicest 4" foam roller I could find, a nap roller intended to provide a mirror finish to whatever paint it was used for. That worked great. I thinned the paint just slightly with a little bit of water (as per the directions) and applied it with the roller. It turned out beautiful. I highly recommend using a roller over a brush. You've just spent more than $20 on paint, a couple bucks for a nice quality nap roller is worth the money to make sure you get a nice smooth finish. We still have quite a bit left, so we are planning some other projects around the house with it I'm very glad we bought this over the spray can version. I've been disappointed with spray can stuff in past- this applies much nicer and provides a much nicer finished product.

better than I expected
I bought this with little hopes that it would actually stick to glass. I was proven wrong. I basically went to the thrift store, found an old frame with glass. spray painted it with 2 coats. The can says that it takes 2 days for it to dry but it was super fast. I let it sit overnight just to be sure. The part that wasn't so great was that the chalk I bought (regular chalk from michaels) didn't go on thick enough for what I was trying to do. It did wipe off though. I suggest if you are going to use this product on glass it's going to be better with thick sidewalk chalk or liquid chalk. The coverage was great and I did 3 large pieces of glass (biggest one was 12x24) with one can, and two coats. So it was worth it. If you are a wedding DIY like I am, this is a good product to buy. Just be sure you test on your surface and buy the right kind of chalk.

Good buy!!! Might come spilt open (what do you expect with paint in the mail) Great big tho!)
I am really happy I went with this brand for chalkboard paint. I wanted to make part of my kitchen a chalkboard so I could write down whatever I needed to. I was worried about some of the reviews but it turned out great! -My last picture I uploaded is taken a couple months after I painted. Still going strong.- A couple things to know -You can only use regular chalk. This wasn’t a problem for me because that’s what I was planning on only using but I’ve seen some reviewers who were disappointed because chalk Pens or whatever they are called don’t work. Regular chalk is better anyways! -Make sure you chalk it down before you actually use it. I found videos online about how to do a chalkboard wall from start to finish. Just follow them. -The paint container did come busted open a little. I wasn’t shocked I mean I was buying paint online and having it delivered! Haha. I expected it to probably be damaged. Luckily for me it was only a little. If you don’t want to find a mess when you open your box you should really just go to the store and buy this, just saying. Other than those tips this paint turned out great! I use a wet paper towel to erase my board. I’ve had this for a couple month now and it still looks like I just painted it! Definitely a good buy! And fun project!

Quality chalk paint!
I've used a multitude of chalk-paint brands and this one is one of the best. Application was smooth and easy. The paint covers extremely well and goes a long way. Two coats covered the white wall with no spotting. Nice finish with a smooth surface.

Chalkboard paint
This is great chalkboard paint to make any wood or a wall into a place to draw with chalk. It comes with a tight lid so it remains fresh. It dries quickly within a few minutes.
