Very good protection for outside boiler condensate pipe to prevent freezing on winter. If this pipe freezes, it stops boiler from working, so definitely work applying to reduce risk, as it's nice and thick.

Does actually what it says all round good insulation.

Firstly the condition of the armaflex was not good. It has obviously been stored for a long time and lost its shape. Secondly it was wrapped with cello tape which even when carefully removed, left the surface of the armaflex looking seriously grazed and exposed to the elements. Lastly be careful when pressing the two sides together because it is so sticky that if by chance one side sticks to the pipe it'll not prise off easily, but it is good that it is sticky. Lastly it is flexible enough to go around ninety degree elbow joints without the need to cut it. I would have returned it but it arrived in a box the size of a fridge. It does not look nice when installed but hopefully it'll do the job. Just an addendum here; I found that this armaflex becomes sodden with condensation which will freeze solid if temperatures remain below zero day and night for an extended period of time as we have experienced recently. This is something to consider when purchasing. I do not think it is designed to be used outdoors. Therefore deducted a star.

Great product

I bought this for an outside pipe after the cold spell we had. The old insulation was firmer foam but it had perished. This looks like it will last much better.
