This fascinating and highly detailed book presents a training programme for all those hunters who wish to push the boundaries of airgun shooting to the very limits. The author has worked with some of the world's leading air rifle and scope manufacturers to produce this remarkable work. The book contains a detailed analysis of shooting techniques and a training programme for the advanced airgun shooter. It instructs the shooter on the mechanics of the long-range hunting air rifle and scope, and provides instructions on rifle servicing and maintenance. The precision alignment of the scope with the bore of the rifle on which it is mounted is discussed along with the use of the chronograph. The fine tuning of hunting air rifles to improve their accuracy is analysed and the employment of night-vision equipment and other devices for hunting at night and in dull light is examined. Fitness training for the shooter and the use of camouflage is covered. Finally, the mindset of the marksman, the techniques of marksmanship and describes two very demanding marksmanship tests is considered. Review: A Sniper Manual for Airguns - This is a military style manual on the discipline of long-range hunting with airguns. It is a British book, so some information given is of less importance to Americans, but overall the information is good and useful. There are only six chapters that cover air rifles, scopes, chronographs and pellets, night vision equipment, fitness and camouflage, and marksmanship. This is for a serious airgun hunter that is willing to spend the money on high dollar equipment and stretch the reach of their pellets. Review: Airgun hunting - I read this book the author is very knowledgeable it was very informative detailed and full of good practical knowledge of how to hunt with an airgun. I recommend it if your looking into this sport. Well written.

nice book
This is a very informative book. Somehow, I felt reading some military stuff, also about long range shooting. To me this book is very usual regarding infos not only for sport shooters, but also for pest control (somehow).

Advanced Airgun Hunting
This is a good book. The author is very precise in his selection of equipment and the way he uses it. This is both good and bad. If you have or want the equipment he has there is great detail for setting it up and using it. If you have a different set up then it may be of less use to you. Of course you can always learn from a book like this as he explains why he likes the equipment he uses. The Huntsman rifle on the cover has nothing to do with the book I might add. There is good information about testing and getting to really know your rifle and scope as well as other equipment you might use. If you take the time and effort to set up and test as the author has, even if you have a different taste in equipment, you should be a successful airgun hunter.

not for spring guns
The book was very informative, though not as well written as his first book. The reviews i read failed to mention what kind of air gun the book was about. it is centered around the use of pcp rifels which are fine except they arnt my thing. im more interested in spring gun hunting and shooting. So it wasnt really the book for me. However his other book is on Rabitting and pest control. it is written much better. By that i mean less typos and less repeated sentences. It also focuses on Spring guns which is what im into so for me it was a much better book.

Good information, but not exactly what I was looking for.
this is a good book with a lot of information about equipment, but only the equipment the author personally uses. I purchased the book because I own the rifle pictured on the cover,( Daystate Huntsman). There was hardly any reference to Daystate in the text. Most of the technical information is about Theoben rifles, which was a bit of a disappointment for me. If you have a Theoben, you will probably love it. I was also looking for more information about shot placement and pellet types. It was interesting reading, but not what I expected it to be.

The Technical side of Airgun Hunting.
This is the second book in my collection written by the Author John Bezzant, he is obviously a Man with a lot of Hunting expierience - be it with Airguns or Ferits. His way of writting is very technical and somehow you get the feeling that you are reading an Instruction Manual. Other Airgun Hunting Authors like John Darling, Ian Barnet & Mathew Manning put a lot more personality into the way they write, which gives them a great Human factor. Another thing that took some of the reading pleasure out of the book was again as in his first book the subtle advertisements for shooting equipment. A lot of the technical stuff is quite good and the Physical Fitness tips are new for Hobby Airgun Hunters. Match Airgun Shooters have already been doing Physical & Mental training for decades. All in all, I think this book is well worth the Money and I can recommend buying it.
