Honestly this saved my marriage...
This product is fantastic; truthfully, I wish I had purchased it sooner. I don't write reviews usually, but this product has been phenomenal. The quality is excellent. It seems comfortable to my son and makes changing his diapers far more manageable than it had been. He would always roll over and attempt to escape from me and my wife while screaming. It was so stressful. Since we purchased this, he has been unable to do that and has been much happier when we change him. He is more secure even on the changing table, and now we have time to ensure we are fastening his diapers correctly to prevent any accidents. Before we did what we could and knew there was a chance, we didn't fasten the diapers at the right spots, and we would get way more accidents. Since we purchased, those occurrences are far less. Just buy it, you will be happy you did.

This one is a gamechanger - highly recommend!
This changing pad has been a lifesaver for me! When my little guy was born I bought him an average changing pad with a cute cover and he was so good during diaper changes. Then something happened when he was around 7 months old and he became IMPOSSIBLE to change! He kicked nonstop, cried, flipped over, and made the experience miserable for both of us. Changing dirty diapers isn't a fun task to begin with, but add a squirming baby to the equation and it becomes downright terrifying. I was constantly worried that he'd manage to flip himself off the pad entirely and the little buckle on our first changing pad did nothing to calm my fears. Enter the PooPoose... phew! What a difference! The straps are so soft and comfy and the Velcro that holds them together is fascinating to him. He spends the majority of his diaper changes running his hands along the fabric. I love that the strap is easily adjustable so I can secure him a little bit tighter on his squirmiest days. I was initially worried that the strap would be too close to his diaper (based on the way the baby in the stock photo looks), but that isn't the case at all. He has plenty of room to stretch out and I can easily secure the straps closer to his armpits so they're less likely to get sprayed. He is a boy after all! :) The pad itself is very easy to wipe down and keep clean. I don't love the way the vinyl folds and looks bunchy in places, but it doesn't affect the performance at all. I assume it has something to do with the slits that make the strap detachable. I haven't tried to machine wash the strap yet, but it looks very easy. I highly HIGHLY recommend this product even though it's more expensive than a traditional changing pad. It's SO worth the money. I used to get a knot in my stomach every time my son had a dirty diaper because I knew what was in store for me - 10 minutes of screaming (on his end) and frustration (on my end) with one hand on him and one hand fumbling to remove the dirty diaper, reach the wipes, and get a new diaper ready before he wiggled out of my grasp and attempted a nose dive off the dresser. Now diaper changes are back to being a breeze and there are even days that I don't have to strap him in at all. I never thought I'd be able to say that!

A must have
Really great for changing diapers. I donโt really have room in my living room for the playpen that has a changing area on it. I also didnโt want to have to go to bedroom everytime. So I got this and put it on a large island off of my kitchen. Itโs wonderful. Thick enough for when he kicks his feet and wiggles around he doesnโt get hurt. Also the the Velcro band is soft and really keeps him safe and in place. He is now 6 months and gator rolls. The Velcro is loud and does startle him sometimes but probably my only complaint. It would be great if it came with another waterproof cover to go over this as a extra layer of protection. This is one of my top used baby products that I have purchased. I havenโt even changed him in the bedroom yet because this is so convenient.

Works great for our newborn--highly recommended
My wife and I are first-time parents, so I don't have much basis for comparison, but we did order this changing pad after a lot of research and comparison to other pads. This one appealed to us because reviews of other cheaper pads described that they were difficult to clean and/or too small and/or incapable of securing a wiggly baby, whereas the reviews and descriptions here are quite the opposite. Once we got it, diapering our son immediately got MUCH easier. He's a wiggly little critter (we had had lots of drive-by-peeing incidents because he would always wiggle off whatever we put over him for cover) but the soft, wide cloth strap keeps him comfortable, secured with Velcro, and about as still as you could hope for. He still gets cranky during some diaper changes, but not as cranky or as often as before, and he's actually fallen asleep while strapped to the changing pad a couple of times (we obviously took pictures that we plan on busting out when he brings home his first date!). The pad is VERY easy to clean--the cover itself is smooth, wipes completely clean, and dries quickly. The cloth strap is removable, so we've been able to put it through the wash a couple of times when it's gotten dirtied. It's a little funky to remove and reinsert, but the little plastic sleeves that get in the way serve to keep the foam from soaking in any poop/pee--those and the cover will keep this thing clean as new for a long time. Our guy is still pretty little, but the pad leaves him with a lot of room to grow. We have the pad on the floor (no room for a proper changing table in our apartment) but there are two little strips you can use to secure it to any table/dresser/desk top for a more permanent/secure changing table setup. All in all, it seems like they've thought of everything! I could really ask for more, except for some sort of auto-diaper changer or a beer tap. It ain't cheap, but for what you get, it's definitely worth it!

Pretty good
I would think $50 changing pad is a little expensive. But the quality is good. Cover wipes clean easily. The straps are soft and very effective keeping the baby from moving around. However, their legs could still kick around so changing diaper is still a little challenging especially they are crying. As other reviewers stated, the seams where the soft straps come through from the changing pad are starting to become undone and we have only used it for a month. I think this is the weakest part of the whole changing pad.

So glad we bought this!
The pad is long and wide but the best part is the wide strap. It is very soft and does the job well. We were using a changing table that came with the pack n play for a month or two after he was born and the strap on it cut into his stomach as he wiggied around so we had to stop using it. We have a very wiggly 4 month old who is very large for his age (27" and almost 20 lbs) and it holds him in place with no issues. I do wish they sold longer straps ( for the bigger bellies) or something you could add on to the originial one. I also wish it also had a bit of an incline instead of completely flat (though I realize most changing pads are flat, this would also help to make it stand out). My son has reflux and trying to change a diaper on a flat surface soon after he eats is just asking for him to spit up. We usually prop it up a little from underneath. So far he has not figured out how to work the velcro on the strap and I am hoping he won't! Overall, almost $50.00 for a piece of foam and a strap seems like a lot, but because of the design it is worth every penny! Also make sure you order directly from Poopoose. They are wonderful to deal with and very invested in making a great product. When they heard I had their older strap they sent me their new one for free. The Velcro is much stronger. They also have responded to every email I have sent them. I ended up ordering the removable cover, which is wonderful. Extremely soft and washes well.

This saved our sanity!
If you're reading this and your baby rolls incessantly on the changing table, just scroll back up and click on "buy now"! I was so skeptical, but also desperate to try anything and I was so pleasantly surprised when this actually worked to stop our little monster from rolling! (& Bonus, he can't sit up randomly during changes anymore either.) Our 7 month old has been rolling on the changing table for months and has become quite the professional roller, so diaper changes were becoming an utterly miserable experience and no amount of toys or distractions could make this little human stop alligator rolling, then this changing pad entered the picture and completely saved our sanity! I'm not going to lie, I grinned so big when our little one tried rolling over and failed after we secured the simple velcro strap around him for the first time, the immense joy and relief I felt in that moment was just indescribable. After just a few days of using the velcro strap, we already do not have to use it every single time as he's learning he can't roll whenever he pleases, so now we just use it randomly as a reminder or when he's in an extra rambunctious mood. One thing to note, it is a bit annoying in the sense that you have to unzip outfits and pull legs out, etc. before attaching the strap around them. It's not a fault of the design, there is no way around it, just something to note if you're not expecting that. It's worth that tiny bit of inconvenience though to not have to wrestle an alligator. When I ordered, the removable/washable covers were out of stock, so I just cut slits to accommodate the velcro strap in my existing regular changing pad covers and it works just fine. Another thing that pleasantly surprised me was the fact that the pad was made out of a dense foam. I included pictures of what it looks like on the inside, as seeing those would have been super helpful for me as a potential buyer. I was actually in need of a more supportive pad as anytime my little one threw his head back or kicked his feet, it sounded like he was hitting the hard table as the typical changing pads that just feel like batting on top of thin cardboard weren't enough to support him anymore. So far, I haven't found anything I don't like about this changing pad. My only regret is not buying this thing months ago!

Best baby purchase I made
I'm on my second Poopoose with my second child because I love this so much. This pad is a gamechanger. The strap isn't only great for wiggly babies but newborns as well. My now 1 month old cried during diaper changes until I thought of strapping his arms down; he didn't appreciate the jerking, moro reflex movements his arms made while changing him. This pad is expensive compared to the traditional ones, but I've used it multiple times a day, every day, for over 3 years so I feel I got my money's worth. Only reason I bought a second is because I used my first for literally every diaper change at home and the plastic covering had started to crack. So I'm using additional covers this time around.
