I just purchased a pc and am new to all this. i have an asus rtx 2060. does this come with an 8 pin adapter or do i purchase that separately?

The EVGA PSU does come with a VGA cord that has a GPU 8 pin plug on it.

I have a evga rtx 3090 with a 10900k, would you recommend this power supply?

No. The GA series are not made by the same OEM as their higher end supplies, and if you search for "Supernova GA issues" you'll find a whole lot of people have had trouble from them. Supposedly some of the problems that used to exist have been resolved with units after serial number "21" at the start, but they are not up to the quality of the well-reputed EVGA supplies. I love my well-made, well-sourced EVGA supply in a 9 year old comp that is still running strong... But I wouldn't buy this one.

Would this support a 4070ti?

Suggested watt is 600watt for gpu you will have to check how much cpu is pulling but normally it should work even on overclock mode . But it could be different if you have AMD platform . If you have top of the line cpu then gpu then I would go with 1000watt power supply but of don't plan to overclock then go with 850 gold
