Good quality, good price, not a lot of machining to fit it either
Excellent fit, and a well made backplate! Saved me from having to far around and make my own, and the price was great. I did have to do a little machining to fit it to my chuck, but that’s to be expected with any back plate.

Works well, need to fit to your chuck
No issues with it. I saw another review saying his didn't fit right out of the box, neither did mine. The first thing in the product description says you have to turn it to fit your chuck. I'm a novice and this was the second thing I machined. Go slow and don't take to much off. Works good

Machine to fit your application
No threads to to mount on my mini lathe. Also had to machine face to mount new 5 inch 3 jaw chuck.

Nice good value
I had to do a little bit of turning on this packing plate, but it worked out great.

Fits 5” bolt pattern but may need turned to fit flange.
Bolt pattern fits my 5 “ chuck but flange will need turned. Think this should become a standard.

Horrible run out
Really disappointed. I knew it wouldn’t be close to perfect, but run out of .0110 is ridiculous.

Excellent for a 4 or 3 jaw 5" lathe chuck.
I used this with a Harlingen 3 jaw chuck on an Atlas lathe. It is long enough to adapt to your lathe. This one was 1 1/2-8 thread. I cut off .3 inches of the shoulder behind the threads and one thread to reduce overhang. I made a mistake on the alignment ledge but had enough thickness to correct my mistake. I would certainly buy again.

This fit my Logan
My original chuck on my 1947 Logan was developing some cracks around the jaw cutouts so I ordered another one but the backplate it came with was the wrong thread size. This one fits perfectly and it just took a little bit of cutting to make it fit spot on the new chuck.
