Muck Boots Hale Wellingtons Black W/Fuzzy Herringbone

I have only been for a couple of walks in these boots but I am very happy with my purchase. They are clearly waterproof and l found they gripped in the muddiest parts of the walk - some reviewers said they don't grip but it wasn't the case for me, not that I would expect anything to grip well in certain very muddy/icy conditions. One huge plus for me is how light they are. I was given a pair of similar boots to try and the soles are at least twice as heavy. As I have bouts of chronic fatigue the weight of footwear has become surprisingly important over the years and these are perfect; light but still robust and no awareness of sharp stones etc as you walk. For me the fit is snug, I couldn't get a pair of straight leg jeans inside them although I suppose I could roll down the tops but I'm quite happy wearing them with leggings. I have a habit of not wearing socks - a lot of my boots/shoes are wool lined - but I felt more comfortable wearing socks with these and I would have to thin long socks with them if I wasn't wearing leggings, as the uppers sort of stick to your skin otherwise. The other big plus for me is how warm they are. I have many memories of plodding home as a child from winter walks in the woods or sledging, when normal socks and a layer of boot socks didn't stop my toes from curling up with the cold. My feet stayed toasty warm in these boots. They appear well-made in terms of design, materials and finish so I am looking forward to many more happy hours of welly-walking!

I Always have cold feet! When you 1st put these boots on they don't feel as cold as normal footwear.I wore them at 4'c for a very muddy wet walk for an hour, within 10 minutes my feet started to warm up, but they never got too hot. My feet were comfortable, I normally wear size 5 shoes and size 6 walking boots. I bought a size 5 in these and they fit well perhaps a little loose around my heels but not uncomfortably loose. They are easy to get on and off,I can't comment personally on how well they will last but a friend has had hers 5 years (she uses them a lot) and I can't see any reason why these shouldn't last as long.The only thing I don't like is the price but you get what you pay for!

I had a pair of Muck boots which were about 6 years old and although they are still in great condition after being worn pretty much daily over those 6 years, there was no grip left in the heels which made walking down steep grassy hills in wet weather or ice pretty precarious (there have been a*se over elbow moments). I decided it was time to replace them and loved the bright blue piping on these ones. They are a great fit with thick socks and keep your feet so much warmer than ordinary wellies (I have a pair of Hunter wellies which freeze the feet off me in winter even with welly liners). Anyway, I think these are perfect and are really easy to get on and off as neoprene up the leg is really soft and flexible.

Love these boots. I had to return a pair of Hunter wellies as they had split. I had tried on these boots at a garden centre so I knew what size to get and the fit. I've worn them regularly since getting them (good ol' British weather!). They are really comfortable and with just a normal pair of socks they are lovely and warm. With welly socks on they were almost too hot despite them not being the fleece lined ones. I am a dog walker so need good, reliable, hard-wearing footwear. My feet have stayed lovely and dry as well. I hope these continue to be the great value they appear to be.

Bought as a gift - Ordered a size up to be safe (size 6 for a regular 5 wearer) - feed back is VERY comfy boots.I'm a 6 and tried them on but have large calves and stiff ankles so I couldn't get them anywhere near on my feet but for regular people with skinny legs they are fine - there is some stretch in the neoprene but not for my chunky legs.Recipient loved them and worn a couple of times and so far good reviewsNice blue trim as well.Aware of some comments about quality but as yet all ok - will update if any issues /problems

The neoprene leg means my calves actually fit in these wellies (something I can often have an issue with) but our still allows flexibility and good movement.I did get a nasty blister on the back of one ankle at first as I broke them in, but no trouble at all 1 month later.I've been eating them twice a day for 3 months for dog walking - on three beach and at the park - for around an hour each time. They currently show no sign of wear and certainly no sign of the seams splitting which happens a lot, especially from the sea water!A great purchase. Really comfy and a good price. Will buy again!

Muck boots are usually super comfy and long lasting. Unfortunately these are leaking less than 5 months of age.Passed the return deadline and the options take you to contact muckboot who clearly state they do not deal with returns that aren’t bought direct from them.So I’ve spent £76 on boots that are supposed to last a few years and now I’m left soggy and wet.I will update this review if I’m successful in getting a return.Oh dear time to find a new brand. And buy direct not with Amazon.

Great boots as ever from Muck Boots, warm and comfortable. There was a bit of confusion when I first received them because on the Amazon site I had selected size 7.5 as people commented that they were quite large in size so was surprised to get size 8s. According to the suppliers they do not come in half sizes despite what it said on my original order. In the end decided not to return them because 7s would have been definitely too small and they are only slightly large something that is easily resolvable with a thicker pair of socks. They are also a bit looser round the ankle than the Arctic muck boots I had before but have got used to that now.

Ich habe auch bei kalten und/oder regnerischen Tagen warme und trockene Füße. Und ich bin da sehr empfindlich! Nun hoffe ich, dass mir diese Stiefel lange erhalten bleiben.

I adore these boots!!! After borrowing a pair from a friend, I knew I had to get a pair of my own! They're so comfortable, they keep the rain and other muck off your feet and bottoms of your legs without fail, are easy to clean, have nice tread for basic walking and chores, and come in a ton of great color options!The soles are super cushioned, and almost bouncy when you walk in them, which helps my feet be so much less fatigued than other, less cushioned shoes and boots do after any amount of work. That's even including when Iwas helping someone move in the rain and mud on a farm!These are also are incredibly good at being water, mud, and general muck proof. Nothing gets through them, even though the top portion of the boots are a softer, less plastic/rubber feeling material than the bottom foot areas are. Trust me, I've put them through a great test being on a farm during the rainy/mud season. They're also padded just enough overall so that if you bump into something, kick something accidentally, or drop lighter things on legs or feet it doesn't hurt!These aren't super insulated to me. But I love the level of insulation that they do have. They're great for cooler days, and on up to pretty warm days. They're not going to keep your feet incredibly warm in 30 degree or less weather if you're outside a long time without heavy socks, but they're also not going to make your feet superhot and sweaty after working in like 70 degree weather either. I wanted them for exactly that. The ability tobe wearable ina pretty wide range of temperatures. The weather in my area varies greatly, with rain, snow, hot, cold, and everything in between (sometimes all in one day). These boots, however, are exactly what I wanted for that.I got the black color with the very light semi-plaid stripes. I find these are nice enough looking to wear walking into work on wet and mucky days when I have to hike across a university campus. They also do so without looking like a 5 year old in her cutesy rain booties. Clean up takes little to no effort, so these stay looking great! I adore that I can wear them working at home on the farm, and then also while walking into a professional environment before switching into other shoes without looking childish, like a muddy mess, or just kind of tacky like a good number of other rain boots I've seen.I did find that these run a little wide. I do have narrower feet though, and I also like that I have room left to wear thicker socks in the colder weather if I want. I think the length is pretty true to size. My friend's boots I borrowed are a size smaller than what I typically wear, and while I can wear them relatively comfortably, my toes do hit the ends. With my pair, I ordered my typical shoe size, and the length seems perfect.I highly recommend these if you want super functional, great performing, comfortable, and attractive boots for the rain and muck!

Waterproof, comfortable boots. I wear these at work on the farm. For me they reach to almost knee height. Keep in mind, they may be more ideal for cold weather, because the top is almost a closed fit, close to the leg, keeping warmth inside the boot. For wearing in warm weather, maybe go to a different one that is shorter and wider around the leg, to let warm air out. Overall, exactly as described, and they seem pretty durable so far. Sizing is perfect, they're roomy but not so as to be too big. 100% recommend.
