I was so leery about this purchase, seeing reviews on this (and, tbh, other brands of this type) which said that the product only lasted a month. This was the best purchase I could have made! I've been using it about 5 months now, and have never had any issues! I use it continuously, and not all that gently at times, and the sound quality remains crystal clear. The "fast charge" does, indeed, work - as long as I'm using the Samsung charger that came with my Galaxy S20+. If I use a generic "fast charger" it takes forever to charge. I never need to plug my earbuds in in any particular order (as many similar products said you must plug in the earbuds, before plugging in the USB into the phone) and it works no matter which "order" I plug in the USB. If I do need to plug in the charger while my music app is running, my music app will pause, and I need to push play afterwards. I will absolutely purchase this brand again, should it ever fail, and recommend it highly! (But, I'm still hoping new model phones will once again restore the headphones jack, because that was a stupid move - no matter what their reasoning was!)

(Updated after three months) Get the red ones, they are harder to lose. I use a tablet for car audio and at my desktop and use only high quality files. This item has worked perfectly for me. In the moving car it's hard to tell the difference that the high sampling rate makes, but at my desk with high quality earbuds (IEMs) you can hear the difference. I have been using the adapter for about three months, including on road trips with perfect function. I am only using standard USB charging protocols no quickcharge or PD. This adapter supports charging from my standard protocol, high power 2.4 amp charger just fine, and that is all my tablet needs. If your device already has a 3.5 mm aux outlet, you do not need this and it will not work!!! I used to sell stereo, including high-end gear in Cambridge MA in the 70's and 80's, so I know might know a little bit about hi-fi. I have owned 200w/channel amps with .008% (Yes, that is 8/1000 percent THD), below measurement IMD, as well as, electrostatic headphones, etc, etc.

I bought it for my ipad pro but doesn't work at all, so I use it for my Samsung note 10 plus and it's work perfect, sound quality good and charging fast.

Stopped working as advertised after 4 months (charging component was broken). But before that, the sound quality was good and charged like any other average charger. Update: after little more than a year, it stopped working completely, despite proper handling.

Not too much to say here other than that it works as described, and the price is right. Power works fine, audio works fine when not also plugged into power. When the power is plugged in along with the audio, I notice a fair amount of whine/buzz in the audio signal. Seemed to happen regardless of the AC adapter used. There is enough other noise when the car is in motion that it's a non-issue, but it's noticeable when sitting and listening with the engine off.

Functions by itself, can charge and play audio simultaneously without issue. The recent this gets 3 stars is if you try to walk or if the cable is jostled at all, the audio will shut on and off. Normal headphones (without this dongle) will have a consistent connection when used with a phone or other music playing device, but when routed through this connector, is extremely susceptible to disconnecting if shook at all. Functions well if stationery, and in a pinch, and I don't hear any noise while charging, but it really needs to be like taped together if you don't want audio to cut out.

Did exactly what I need. I didn't want to replace my bose headphones when my new phone didn't have a headphone jack. This let's me use them and charge the phone which is needed a I'm on the phone a lot for my job. Price was good and quick delivery.

It was great when first got it but. Sound quality, control and charging all worked. However as time went on, the connection worked less. Constant interruptions while I was listening to music. I will say do not spend money on this thing. There are better devices that are cheaper
